John Whittle of Harby 1773 Will

In the name of God amen I John Whittle otherwise Whittel do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following, that is to say
First and principally I commend my Soul to the Almighty who gave it and my Body to the dust to be decently interr’d at the Charges and discretions of my Executors herein after named
And for my Worldly goods of which I may die posses’d I dispose of the same as follows
Imprimis I give to my daughter Ann Morley the wife of Edward Morley The Sum of Ten pounds
Item I give to my daughter Sarah the Wife of William Freck The sum of Twenty pounds to be paid within Twelve months after my decease
Item I give to my daughter Elizabeth the wife of John Whittle the sum of Twenty pounds to be paid within Two years after my decease
Item I give to my Son Thos. Whittle the sum of Twenty pounds to be paid him at the day of his Marriage or if my wife one of my Executors hereafter named should chance to depart this Life before my said Son should marry that then my will is that his Legacy become due Twelve months after the decease of my said Wife
I give to my daughter Mary Whittle the sum of Twenty pounds to be paid her on the day of her marriage or at her mothers decease
Item I give to my Son William Whittle Twenty pounds
Item I give to my Son James Whittle the sum of Twenty pounds, and my Will is that the two last mentioned shall be paid to my said Sons William and James when they shall attain the age of Twenty five years, and my will further is that my Son James shall be found Clothes and all other Necessaries by my executors hereafter named during the term of his Apprenticeship
All the rest and Residue of my good Cattle Chattels and personal estate of what kind the Same are and in whose Custody they may be found I give to my Wife Mary Whittle and to my Son John Whittle Whom I hereby nominate and appoint Joint Executor and Executrix of this my Will hereby revoking all former wills at any time heretofore by me made and if my said wife do not choose to dwell with my Said Son John Whittle that then my will is that my said Son shall pay her yearly out of my personal Estate as much as together with the rents of her Land shall amounts to Ten pounds a year each and every year So Long as she Chooses to dwell from my Said Son John Whittle and I hereby confirm this for and as my Last will and Testament
In Wittness whereof I The said testator have hereunto set my hand and Seal this Seventh day of February One thousand seven hundred and Seventy Three
