This is the last Will and Testament of me George William Bunney Whittle of Scalford in the County of Leicester Farmer

I bequeath all my furniture plate linen and other household effects to my Wife Sarah Ann Whittle absolutely

I devise and bequeath all my Real Estate of every tenure and all my personal Estate and Effects whatsoever and wheresoever not otherwise disposed of by this my Will or any Codicil thereto (subject to and after payment thereout of my funeral and testamentary expenses and debts and the Legacies bequeathed by this my Will or any Codicil thereto) Unto and to the use of my Brother William Wilford Whittle and my Brother in law Henry Wild their heirs executors and administrators respectively according to the nature thereof Upon the trusts and with and subject to the powers and provisions hereinafter declared and contained concerning the same (that is to say)

Upon trust that the said William Wilford Whittle and Henry Wild or the survivor of them or the heirs executors or administrators of such survivor or other the Trustees or Trustee for the time being of this my Will (hereinafter called my Trustees) shall pay the net rents profits and income of the said real and personal Estate and premises after payment of all outgoings and expenses which may be payable or which my Trustees may think fit to pay thereout to my said Wife during such part of her life as she shall remain my Widow and after the death or marriage of my said Wife I direct that my said Trustees shall sell call in and convert into money such parts of the said Real and Personal Estate and premises as shall not consist of money and shall stand possessed of the net moneys to arise from the Sale calling in and conversion or forming part of my said Real and Personal Estate (subject to the payment thereout of a Legacy of Five hundred pounds which I hereby bequeath to my said Wife in case she marries again but not otherwise) In trust for all my children or my only child who being a Son or Sons attain the age of 21 years or being a Daughter or Daughters attain that age or marry under that age if more than one in equal shares as Tenants in Common

I authorise my Trustees after the death or future marriage of my said Wife or previously thereto with her consent in writing to raise any part or parts not exceeding in the whole a moiety of the then expectant presumptive or vested share of any child of mine in the said trust premises under the trusts aforesaid and to pay or apply the same for his or her advancement or benefit as my Trustees shall think fit

I authorise my Trustees to carry on the trade or business of a Farmer now carried on by me during such period as they shall think fit and for that purpose to retain and employ therein the capital which shall at my death be employed therein and such additional capital as they shall think fit to advance from time to time out of my Real and Residuary Personal Estate with power to employ such servants and workpeople and generally to act in all matters relating to the said business as if they were beneficially entitled thereto and my Trustees shall be free from all responsibility and to be fully indemnified out of my Estate in respect of any loss arising in relation to the said business And I empower my Trustees to manage and cultivate my real Estate hereinbefore devised in trust and cut timber for Sale repairs or otherwise and to repair and insure houses and buildings and to make allowances to and arrangements with Tenants and others and generally to manage the same in such manner as my Trustees may think most advisable

I authorize my Trustees at any time or times with the consent of my said Wife during her Widowhood and afterwards at their discretion to sell call in and convert into money the whole or any part or parts of my Residuary Personal Estate and I declare that my Trustees shall stand possessed of the net proceeds of any such Sale calling in or conversion and of any monies coming to their hands during the continuance of the Trusts of this my Will (and not being Income) Upon Trust to invest the same with power from time to time to vary such investments and shall hold the net proceeds of Sale and the Investments thereof Upon the trusts and with and subject to the powers therof

Upon the trusts and with and subject to the powers and provisions hereinbefore declared and contained of and concerning my residuary Personal Estate and I declare that it shall be lawful for my Trustees to raise on Mortgage of any real Estate for the time being vested in them on the trusts of this my Will any principal monies which may be required for the payment of my funeral and testamentary expenses debts or legacies or for any of the purposes of this my Will but so that no Mortgagee advancing money on a Mortgage purporting to be made under this present power shall be concerned to see that such money is wanted or that no more than is wanted is raised and to secure the repayment of any monies to be so raised as aforesaid with Interest by Mortgage in fee simple of the hereditaments to be charged therewith and either with or without a power of Sale and with such other powers and provisions and upon such terms in all respects as my Trustees may think fit

And I appoint the said William Wilford Whittle and Henry Wild Trustees and Executors of this my Will and I appoint my said Wife Guardian of my Infant Children during their respective minorities

I devise all Estates vested in me Upon any trust or by way of Mortgage to my said Trustees their heirs and assigns subject to the Trusts and Equities affecting the same respectively

The Testator George William Bunney Whittle was late of Scalford in the County of Leicester Farmer and died on the Thirty first day of December 1882 at Scalford aforesaid
