In the Name of God Amen I William Whittaker of Stathorn in the County of Leicester Taylor being weak in body but of perfect mind & memory, praised be God for the same Therefore do make & ordain this my last Will & Testament in manner & form following

First & principally I give & bequeath my Soul into the Hands of Almighty God my Creator hoping to be saved by the meritorious death & passion of Jesus Christ my only Savior & Redeemer & in & thro’ him to receive the full & free pardon & forgiveness of all my sins, And as for my worldly goods the Lord hath in mercy lent me I give devise & bequeath as followeth

Imprimis I give devise & bequeath to my elder daughter Mary Whittaker that Messuage, homestead, close, orchard gardens, buildings, structures outhouse, easements & appurtenances to the said Messuage house belonging, or in any wise appertaining now in the tenour & occupation of me the sd William Whittaker or assignes standing & being in Stathorn aforesd which sd premises I lately purchased of one Edward Wilford, to have & hold unto the said Mary my Elder daughter, to her & her heirs for ever & for want of such heirs of the said Mary lawfully begotten then I give & bequeath the said house & premises aforesd unto Anne Whittaker my younger daughter, unto her and her Heirs for ever

Item I give and bequeath unto Anne Whittaker my younger daughter the summe of nine pounds of good & lawful mony of great Britain to be payd unto her five years after my death, without use or interest in the same

Item I further give & bequeath unto my said Daughter Anne the Chest & half of the linen within the chest

And lastly, I make Mary my elder daughter full and Sole Executrix of this my last Will & Testament of all my goods Cattel & Chattels she paying my debts & legacies & funeral charges

In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this seventh day of July in the year of our Lord 1700 and fifteen
