This is the Last Will and Testament of me George Whitaker of Widmerpool in the County of Nottingham the 9th day of April in the year of our Lord One thousand nine hundred and fourteen

I hereby revoke all Wills and testamentary instruments heretofore made by me

I appoint James Whitaker of Widmerpool in the County of Nottingham and George Whitaker of Widmerpool in the County of Nottingham to be Executors to this my Will

I direct that all my just debts funeral and testamentary expenses shall be paid as soon as conveniently may be after my decease

I Give and Bequeath to my Wife Lucy Ann Whitaker for her own use benefit the whole of my real and personal estate including the whole of my Farming Stock and giving her the power to keep or dispose of the Farming Stock during her life and after her decease if such Farming Stock has not been sold

My executors to pay the following Legacies free of duty to my sons John James Whitaker the sum of ten pounds George Whitaker the sum of Twenty five pounds and to my daughters Ellen Whitaker the sum of thirty pounds Maria Whitaker the sum of thirty pounds and after all debts owing the residue of my estate to be divided equally amongst the whole of my Six children namely Mary Elizabeth Condon, John James Whitaker, Lucy Ann Cripwell [sic, marriage records confirm Cripwell], George Whitaker, Ellen Whitaker, Maria Whitaker

Witness my hand this nineth (9th) day of April 1914

Signed published and declared by the said Testator as and for his last Will and Testament in presence of us who at his request in his presence and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses
