In the name of God Amen

The Twenty Eight Day of July 1721 I Joseph Wells of Hose in the County of Leicester farmer Being Mindful of my Latter End Do Make this my Last Will and Testament in the Following manner and forme

I Do apoint Samuel Wells of Willoughby in the County of Nottingham and Wm Chamberlain of Hose in the County of Leicester With Whom they shall Chuse to be as Trustees or a Praisers of all my Goods and Chattles that I am now Possessed of

Imprimis I Give Unto my Beloved Wife Alce Wells the one Third Part of all Personable Estate

Secondly I Give unto my Son Joseph Wells the Two third Parts of all my Personable Estate if Ever my Beloved Wife Alce Wells Contract the Bonds of Matrimony

Thirdly But if my Beloved Wife Alce Wells keep in the State of a Widdo and not Contract the Bonds of Matrimony Then I Do Make her With my Son Joseph Wells Sole Executrix of this my Last Will and Testament Revoking all other Wills by me herefore made Ratifying and Confirming this to be my Last will and Testament in Wittness Whereof I have here unto Set my hand and Seal the Day and Year first above Written
