Richard Watchorn of Wycomb 1821 Will

This is the Last will and Testament of Me Richard Watchorn of Wykeham in the County of Leicester farmer

First I direct that all my just Debts and Funeral Expences and the charges of proving this my Will shall be paid and discharged out of my personal Estate by my Executors hereinafter named

I give and bequeath unto my Son John Watchorn the sum of one hundred pounds And I do hereby charge my House and homestead in the parish of Plungar in the said County of Leicester and my Copy hold close in the parish of Stathern in the said County containing by estimation five acres or thereabouts with the payment of the said Sum of one hundred pounds hereinbefore by me given and bequeathed to my Son John Watchorn

And I also give devise and bequeath unto my son John Watchorn All my Lands Tenements and Hereditaments in the parish of Chadwell in the said County of Leicester his Heirs and Assigns for ever

And I also give devise and bequeath unto my eldest Son Richard Watchorn all my Lands Tenements and Hereditaments situate lying and being in the parish of Plungar in the said County of Leicester his heirs and assigns for ever

Also I give and bequeath unto my Son Richard Watchorn all those my Copyhold lands (and which I have surrendered to the use of my will) situate lying and being at Stathern in the said County of Leicester now in the tenure and occupation of my Brother John Watchorn to have and to hold the said Copy hold lands to the said Richard Watchorn his heirs and assigns for ever according to the custom of the Manor of which the same are holden

And I also give and bequeath unto my Housekeeper Susanna Arnold the bed on which she sleeps in my little room together with the bedding sheets blankets coverlid and everything thereto belonging for her own use and benefit absolutely

I also give & bequeath to my son John Watchorn my best bed with furniture and to my Son Richard Watchorn my Bed and furniture

As to all the residue of my personal Estate and Effects of what kind soever or wheresoever I give and bequeath the same and every part thereof unto and between my two sons the said Richard Watchorn and the said John Watchorn share and share alike whom I do hereby nominate and appoint Executors of this my last Will and Testament

And I doe hereby revoke all other Wills by me at any time before made and declare this to be my last will and Testament

In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this second day of June in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty one
