In the name of God Amen the Eleaventh day of November 1725 According to the Computation of the church of England I Robert Wartnaby of Wartnaby in the parish of Rothley in the county of Leicester yeoman Being of perfect memory and Rememberance praised God do make and ordaine this my Last Will and Tetament in manner and forme following

First I Be Queathe my soule to the hands of Allmighty God my maker hopeing that through the Meritorious death and passion of Jesus Christ my only saviour and Redeemer to Receive free pardon and forgiveness of all my sines and as for my body to be Buried in Christian buriall at the discretion of my Executor hereafter Nominated

Item I give unto my Daughter Ann the wife of William Wiseman forty pound to be paid unto her within six Months after my decease and ten pound to be paide unto her the Eleventh day of November in the yeare of our Lord 1727

Item I give unto Ann Wiseman my grand Daughter the sume of five pound and shee shall have Interest for it from the Eleventh day of November in the  yeare of our Lord 1727 to goe forward for her and to be paid unto her at the age of one and Twenty years

Item I give unto the poor of Wartnaby five pecks of wheate every year and for ever to be Livered unto them on Sent Tomis day by the hand of the church warden and overseer of the poor and he that Liveth in my farme house to the five needstfull poor people as they shall thinks stands need and it shall be bought with the rent of that house comonly called Elizabeth Atkins house but if it should be untenened then that year it shallnot be paid until it be tenened againe but if I die before Sent Tomis then there shall be five shilling paid in the Room of the wheat for his year and I humbly desire the Neighberhood of Wartnaby to assist my heirs Executors Administrators and assigns that it may not be untenened

Item I give unto my son Robert two bedsteds and beding for them one Round table and six black chears one fire Iorn one mash tub and three barils and all the rest of my houseld goods I give unto Ann my derely beloved wife

Item my will is that if the wheate be not paid at the day appointed then the churchwardens and overseer of the poor to enter upon the house if it be tenened

Item all the rest of my goods and chatels and personall Estate whatsoever I give to my son Robert upon condishon that he shall pay all my debts and Legacies and do Make him my sole Executor of this my Last will and Testament and utterly revoke all former wills that hath been by me made
