Jane Wagstaff of Goadby Marwood 1811 will

This is the last Will and Testament of me Jane Wagstaff of Goadby Marwood in the County of Leicester Spinster as follows

In the first place I direct my just debts legacies funeral and testamentary expenses to be fully paid

I give and bequeath unto my brother the Reverend John Stoup Wagstaff of Barkston in the County of Leicester Clerk the sum of six hundred and fifty pounds

I also give unto my said brother John Stoup Wagstaff all my wearing Apparel whether made up or not made up at the time of my decease together with all my trinkets except what I shall hereafter specifically mention and dispose of Also my harpsichord Stool and music books silver Coffee pot and stand and half a dozen tea spoons and my portable writing Desk

I give and bequeath unto my brother the Revd Daniel Wagstaff of Goadby Marwood aforesaid Clerk the sum of eight hundred pounds and also all my furniture china plate Glass and linen together with my Gold watch chain & Seal upon condition that he gives up to my nephew John Stoup Wagstaff his own watch chain and Seal

I give unto my nephew Jonathan Burnham Wagstaff Bryan the Sum of fifty pounds

Also I give to my niece Jane Burnham Wagstaff Radford the Sum of fifty pounds which two last mentioned legacies of fifty pounds each I will shall be paid to each of them the said Jonathan Burnham Wagstaff Bryan and Jane Burnham Wagstaff Radford within six months after the Suit now pending in chancery intitled “Wagstaff against Burnham” is finally settled and adjusted

Also I give unto the said Jonathan Burnham Wagstaff Bryan my … Seal ring set in Gold

Also I give unto the said Jane Burnham Wagstaff Radford my Gold Locket or Breast pin and a pair of black sattin Screens

I give unto my niece Jane Selina Wagstaff of Newark upon Trent Spinster the Sum of fifty pounds unto my niece Mary Ann Wagstaff of the said place Spinster the Sum of fifty pounds and unto my niece Arabella Wagstaff of Newark upon Trent aforesaid Spinster the Sum of fifty pounds all which said three last mentioned legacies I will shall be paid to each of them my said three nieces when they attain their respective ages of twenty one Years

And Lastly I do hereby nominate constitute and appoint my said two brothers John Stoup Wagstaff and Daniel Wagstaff joint Executors of this my last Will and Testament revoking all former Wills by me made
