Hannah Urry of Nether Broughton 1882 Will

This is the last Will and Testament of me Hannah Urry of Nether Broughton Lodge in the County of Leicester Widow

First I direct all my just debts funeral and Testamentary expenses to be fully paid

I give and bequeath to my Niece Elizabeth Hayes wife of Thomas Hayes of Whissendine Baker the Legacy or sum of Thirty Pounds absolutely

I give and bequeath to my Nephew Samuel Blount of Wymswould the Legacy or Sum of Ten pounds absolutely

I give and bequeath to Mary Hannah Blount, Arthur Blount and Elizabeth Blount the Children of my late Nephew Thomas Blount the Legacy of Sum of Ten pounds apiece absolutely And it is my wish and I expressly direct that the said three last mentioned legacies shall be received and retained by my Executor Mr William Attenborough hereinafter named and placed in some Savings Bank in his name until the said Legatees attain their respective ages of Twenty one years when the same shall be paid to them together with all accumulations of interest thereon

And as to all the rest residue and remainder of my personal Estate and Effects of whatsoever nature the same may be and consist of I give and bequeath the same unto my Niece Hannah Blount (now residing with me) absolutely

And I appoint the said Mr William Attenborough (the Son in Law of the late George Urry of Nottingham Gentleman) and my said Niece Hannah Blount to be joint Executor and Executrix of this my Will hereby revoking all other Wills by me made

In Witness whereof I the said Hannah Urry the Testatrix have to this my last Will and Testament set my hand this Fifteenth day of September One thousand eight hundred and sixty eight

Signed published and declared by the said Hannah Urry the Testatrix as and for her last Will and Testament in the presence of us present at the same [“time” missing] who in her presence at her request and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names as Witnesses The Will being previously read over to the said Hannah Urry and she appeared fully to understand the contents thereof

Proved at Leicester on the Eleventh day of October 1882 by the Oath of Hannah Harby (Wife of William Harby, formerly Blount, Spinster) the Niece, one of the Executors to whom Administration was granted.  William Attenborough the other Executor named in the Will having renounced the Probate and Execution thereof.

The Testatrix Hannah Urry was late of Nether Broughton Lodge Nether Broughton in the County of Leicester Widow and died on the Twenty ninth day of July 1882 at Nether Broughton Lodge aforesaid
