This is the last will and testament of me William Tuckwood grazier of the parish of Ab Kettleby in the county of Leicester

I appoint my wife Anne Tuckwood sole executrix of my affairs

All my estate of farming stock & implements household furniture monies and property of whatever description I give to her and her heirs and assigns absolutely and in perpetuity She having my instructions & commands first to satisfy all my lawful debts & demands and to see that my body is decently buried

Signed by me this seventh day of October in the year one thousand eight hundred and forty three

Ann Tuckwood of Ab Kettleby in the county of Leicester Grazier & Widow the sole Executrix in this will named was duly sworn to the truth & faithful performance thereof as usual, & that the goods, chattels & credits of the deceased without deducting any debts owing by him therefrom do not amount in value to the sum of one hundred pounds & that the deceased died on the 7th day of September last past

On the 29th March 1845 Origl will exhibited before the Revd Jemson Davies Clerk Master of Arts & Surrogate of the Commissary and Probate decreed to pass Deal to the above named Ann Tuckwood in the presence of

Same day Probate dated

In the Court of the Commissary of the Archdeaconry of Leicester Appeared personally George Bates of Abb Kettleby in the County of Leicester Cottager and made oath that he is one of the subscribed witnesses to the last will and Testament of William Tuckwood late of the Parish of Ab Kettleby in the Count and Archdeaconry of Leicester Grazier deceased bearing date the seventh day of October One thousand eight hundred and forty three now hereunto annexed and marked with the letter (A) and he further made oath that on the seventh day of October aforesaid the said Testator duly executed his said last will by signing his Name at the foot or end thereof in the presence of this Deponent, and of John Hardinge of Abb Kettleby in the County of Leicester Clerk the other subscribed Witness thereto who were then together present at the same time with the said deceased And this Deponent and the said John Hardinge thereupon attested and subscribed the said Will in the presence of the said Testator and of each other

On the 25th day of March in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and forty five the said George Bates was duly sworn at Scalford in the County and Archdeaconry of Leicester to the truth of the aforegoing Affidavit
