In the name of god amen the xviiith daye of Marche in the yere of our Lord god 1564 I Robert Tayler of Nether Browghton in the Countye of Leicester makes this my Last will and Testament in maner & forme folowinge

Fyrst I bequiethe my soule unto allmightye god and my body to be buryed in the church yearde of Browghton beforesaid

Also I gyve unto the reparacons of the same church iiis iiiid

Also I gyve unto the mother churche of Lincoln iid

Also I gyve unto Margarett Harres my Syster a foyle yt to be delivered at the feyst of Sainte Martyn next cominge

Also I gyve a new shepe for to encrease amongs her iiii children

Also I gyve unto Jane Bludde a lambe

Also I gyve unto Alice Neyde my goddowghter a Lambe

Also I gyve unto Robert Tayler and Richarde Tayler my two Sonnes Two iron Bounde waynes with all the geyres belonginge unto them And the plowe & the geyres belonginge unto ytt and the hovel with all the wode in the yearde and all the yron waire as yocks & temys and harrowes & such lyke to be equally devyded betwixt them besides ther partes but I will that Alice my wife shall have the occupacon of them so longe as she kepes her wydowe to ocupye the farme …

Also I gyve & bequiethe unto Margaret Tayler and Ann Tayler my dowghters to eyther of them a newe shepe besides ther partes

Also I gyve unto Alice my wife my Indenture of my farme so longe as she ys wydowe And yf she do marry I will the same Indenture do remaine unto Robert Tayler my eldest Sonne

The Resydewe of my goods nott bequeathed my detts payde and my legacies performed with all my funeral expences alowed I will that my goods shalbe devyded in thre partes one parte to bringe my body to the grounde and an other parte to Alice my wife And the thyrde parte of my goods to be equally devyded amongs my fyve children That ys to saye Robert Tayler Richard Tayler Dorathy Tayler & Margarytt Tayler & Anne Tayler

Also I will that yfe any of these my five do dye or they come to Lawfull age I will the parte or partes of him or her so dyinge shall remayne unto the other of my children that dothe Lyve & also I will that yt that remains of my parte shalbe devyded betwixt my wife and my five children

Also I ordaine & make Alice my wife my sole executrixe of this my last will & Testament for to dispose of my goods to the tenor hereof as my trust ys she will do

Also I make Robert Wright & Willyam Rowson supervysors of this my last will & Testament whom I desire for god sake to se yt trewly performed & they to have eyther of them iiiid for ther paynes taking
