Thomas Swaine of Long Clawson 1728 Will

In the Name of God Amen I Thomas Swaine of Claxton alis Long Clawson In the County of Leicester Weaver doth Make and ordaine this My Last will and Testament in Manner and Forme as followeth

Imprimis first I Commit my Body to the Earth from whence it was taken and my Spirit to God that gave it Hopeing by the Merrits of Jesus Christ to find free pardon for all my Sins Commited In This World

Item I give to my Daughter Mary Julian Wife of William Julian the Sume of one Shilling to be payd a twelve Month after my deceace by my Executor whome I shall Heare after name

Item I Give unto my Kind and Loveing Wife Elizabeth Swaine the sume of three pounds a yeare for a yearely Mantinance Dureing her Naturall Life to be payd by My Sone Thomas Swaine and a Chindy put up in the Hovell and Made fit and Convienient for her to Live in during her Natterall Life But whilest my Son Thomas Swaine Keepeth himselfe unmarried Soe that my wife Eliz: Swaine and my Son Thomas Swaine agree to Live togeather My Will is that My Wife have Nothing but a Sofishent Mentainence alowed by my Son Thomas Swaine: also my will is that if they Cannot agree that My wife Eliz Swaine Shall have a teaster bed and all beding to it a pot and a pan a Cheare a dish & a Spoon to furnish her house Dureing the terme of her Nattureall Life and then Return to my Son Thomas Swaine at her Deceace

Lastly I give and bequath unto my Son Thomas Swaine and his heire for ever My house and halfe oxgange of Land being in the Town and Libertys of Claxton alis long Clawson whome I make my Sole Excutore of all my personall Estate Cattle and Chattle Revoking all other wills Heare to fore by me Made

In Wittness wheare of I have heare unto set my hand and seale This twenty Eight day of February 1727
