This is the last Will and testament of me Margaret Sumner of Hose in the county of Leicester widow
First I direct my just debts funeral and testamentary expences be first paid
Whereas I am entitled to one undivided Moiety or full half part of the personal estate and effects of which my late Husband died possessed and which he bequeathed to me in and by his last Will Now I do hereby Give and bequeath all my said undivided Moiety or full half part of the said personal estate and effects and all other my personal effects whatsoever subject to the payment of my debts funeral and testamentary expences unto my two friends Thomas Beaumont Shilcock of Hose Grange and Henry Shilcock of Hose aforesaid Graziers their executors administrators and assigns
Upon trust that they and the Survivor of them his executors and administrators shall stand possessed of my said personal estate and effects and receive the profits arising therefrom and apply the same to and for the use and benefit of Catherine the Widow of my late Son William Sumner deceased for the term of her natural life in case she so continue his widow but not otherwise for the benefit and support of herself and my GrandChild Ann Sumner the only daughter of my said late Son William Sumner deceased unto she shall attain her full age of twenty one Years and when she shall have attained her full age of twenty one years Then I Give and bequeath the same and every part thereof (subject to the life interest therein of her said mother Catherine Sumner in case she continues the Widow of my said Son) unto my said GrandChild her executors and Administrators But in Case my said Granddaughter shall happen to die under age and unmarried then I Give my said personal estate and effects (subject as aforesaid) unto my daughter Mary Sumner her Executors and administrators
Provided that my said trustees and the Survivor of them his executors and administrators shall retain out of the said estate and effects all their costs and charges and not be responsible for more monies than they shall receive by virtue of this Will nor for any loss which may happen except through their wilful neglect
And I appoint the said Thomas Beaumont Shilcock and Henry Shilcock joint Executors in trust (and Guardians of my said Granddaughter) of this my last Will and testament hereby revoking all others by me made

Signed sealed published and declared by the said Margaret Sumner as her last Will in our presence who at her request in her presence and in the presence of each other have set our hands as Witnesses

Whereas I Margaret Sumner Widow have duly made and published my last Will and Testament in writing bearing date the 4th day of June instant and particularly set forth on the other side Now I do declare this present writing to be a Codicil to my said Will and direct the same to be taken as part thereof
I do Give unto my Son James Sumner Fifty Pounds and to my Son Charles Sumner Ten pounds each to be paid at my decease and do confirm my said Will in every other particular thereof

Let a probat be granted to Thomas Beaumont Shilcock of Hose Farmer & Grazier, one of the Executors named in the will of Margaret Sumner who died at Hose on the twenty fifth day of January last, with power of making the same like grant to William Shilcock of Hose Grazier when he shall apply for the same
He the said Thomas Beaumont being duly sworn as well to the faithful execution of the will, as that the Testator’s Goods, Chattels & Credits as they were at her death without deducting any debts owing by her therefrom did not amount in value to the sum of one hundred pounds

On the fifteenth day of April 1835 will exhibited before the Revd Richd Davies Clerk BD and Surrogate and Probate decreed to pass Seal in the presence of
