In the name of God Amen January the 27th 1679 I Bryan Stringer of Saxelby in the County of Leicester husbandman beinge weake & sicke of body but of good & perfect memorie praysed be the Lord for the same doe ordaine & make this my last Will & Testament in manner & forme followinge

First I bequeath my Soule to Almighty God my Creator hopeinge & verily assureinge my selfe through Gods mercies & Christ Merrits to be partaker of life everlasting & my body I bequeath to the Earth from whence it was taken to be buried in Christian buriall in the Churchyard of Saxelby aforesaid at the discretion of my Executor & for my worldly goods wherewith the Lord hath endowed me withall I doe dispose of them in manner & forme followinge

Imprimis I give to my loveinge wife Margarett Stringer & my two youngest daughters Ann Stringer & Mary Stringer Thirtie Pounds amongst them one ten Pounds to be payd one year after my death & the other ten Pounds the second yeare & the last ten Pounds the third yeare

Allsoe I give my loveinge wife three of my best Cows & ten of my best Sheepe & halfe my househould Goods

Item I give to my loveinge sonne Thomas Stringer five Shillings

Item I give to my loveinge daughter Elizabeth Stringer five Pounds and a brasse pott & one Cubberd

Item I give to my loveinge sonne Charles Stringer all the rest of my goods undisposed hee payinge my Legacies as I have bequeathed them whom I make Executor of this my last will and Testament hee plowinge a Acre of land which belonges to the house which his mother liveth in for her use soe longe as hee liveth in the towne & keepeth a teame he likewise is to pay my debts & funerall charges

Thus revokinge all former wills I make this my last will & Testament
