In the name of God Amen I Nathaniel Stone of Goadby Marwood in the County of Leicester Gentleman being at present in Good health of body and of sound and disposing Mind and Memory (for which I bless God) do this Eighth day of August in the year of our Lord one Thousand seven Hundred and Sixty Nine make and ordain this my last Will and Testament in manner following (that is to say)

First I will and Direct that all such Debts as I shall justly owe at the Time of my Decease and my funeral Charges and Expences be in the first Place paid by my Executrix hereinafter named and as to my Estates both real and personal I Dispose thereof in manner following (that is to say)

I Give and Devise unto my Nephew John Stone All and every my Messuages Cottages Closes Lands Tenements and Hereditaments situate standing Lying and being in Scalford in the said County of Leicester To have and to hold all and every my said Messuages Cottages Closes Lands tenements and Hereditaments with their and every of their appurtenances (Subject and Charged and Chargeable with the Annuity Yearly Rent or Sum of eighteen Pounds hereinafter mentioned) unto and to the Use of my said Nephew John Stone his Heirs and Assigns for ever

And I do hereby give Devise and Bequeath unto my Niece Elizabeth Stone and her Assigns for and during the Term of her Natural Life one Annuity clear Yearly Rent or sum of eighteen Pounds of Lawfull Money of Great Britain free of all Taxes and other Deductions Parliamentary or otherwise to be Issuing and payable out of all and every my said Messuages Cottages Closes Lands Tenements and Hereditaments to be paid and payable by equal quarterly Payments at the four most usual Feasts or Days of Payment in the Year (that is to say) the Annunciation of the blessed Virgin Mary Saint John the Baptist Saint Michael the Archangel and Saint Thomas the Apostle by even and equal Portions the first Payment thereof to be made on such of the same Feasts as Shall first and next happen after my Decease And I hereby charge and subject the same Messuages Cottages Closes Lands Tenements and Hereditaments with and to the Payment of the said Annuity yearly Rent or Sum of eighteen Pounds accordingly and my will is that in Case the said Annuity Yearly Rent or Sum or any Part thereof shall be behind or Unpaid by the Space of Thirty Days next over or after any of the said Feasts whereon the Same is hereinbefore directed to be paid as aforesaid then and so often it shall and may be Lawfull for my said Niece Elizabeth Stone or her Assigns to enter into and upon all and every or any Part of the said Premises charged with the said Annuity as aforesaid and Distrain for the same or for so much thereof as shall be so in Arrear and all costs and Charges occasioned by non Payment thereof

And Whereas the Sum of three hundred and fifty Pounds Principal money and the Interest thereof now stands secured to me in Virtue of a Mortgage or Assignment from William Chad and Mary his Wife of an undivided Estate situate and being at Branston in the County of Rutland now I do hereby Give and bequeath unto my Nephew James Tiptaft his Executors Administrators and Assigns the said principal Sum of three hundred and fifty Pounds and all Interest that shall be due thereon at the Time of my Decease Together with the said Mortgage and  Assignment and all my Estate right Title Interest Term and Terms of Years yet to come and unexpired of and in the said Mortgaged Premises Subject Nevertheless and charged and chargeable with the Payment of the Annuity yearly Rent or Sum of twelve Pounds and the severall Sums of one hundred Pounds and one hundred Pounds hereinafter mentioned (that is to say)

I Give and bequeath unto my Sister Mary Tiptaft and her Assigns for and during the Term of her natural Life one Annuity clearly Yearly rent or sum of twelve Pounds of Lawfull Money of Great Britain free of all Taxes and other Deductions Parliamentary or otherwise to be paid and payable by my said Nephew James Tiptaft his Executors Administrators or Assigns out of the said Sum of three hundred and fifty Pounds and the Interest thereof at the four most usual Feasts or Days of payment in the Year (that is to say) The Annunciation of the blessed Virgin Mary Saint John the Baptist Saint Michael the Archangel and Saint Thomas the Apostle by even and equal portions the first payment thereof to be made on such of the same feasts as shall first happen after my Decease

I Give and bequeath unto my Niece Elizabeth Stubley the Sum of one hundred Pounds to be paid by my said Nephew James Tiptaft his Executors or Administrators within Six Months next after the Decease of my said Sister Mary Tiptaft but in Case my said Niece Elizabeth Stubley shall be dead at the Time The said Legacy of one hundred Pounds shall become payable then I do direct that my said Nephew James Tiptaft his Executors or Administrators shall pay the said Legacy of one hundred pounds unto John Stubley and Mary Stubley (the Children of my said Niece Elizabeth Stubley) Equally between them but in case either the said John Stubley and Mary Stubley shall be then Dead Then my Mind and Will is that my said Nephew James Tiptaft his Executors or Administrators shall pay the said Legacy of one hundred Pounds to the Survivor of them the said John Stubley and Mary Stubley her or his Executors or Administrators

I also give and bequeath unto my Niece Sarah Tiptaft her Executors or Administrators the like Sum of one hundred Pounds to be paid by the said James Tiptaft within six Months next after the Decease of my said Sister Mary Tiptaft

I Give and Devise unto my Nephew William Heich all that my Messuage or Tenement with its appurtenances and two Closes containing together two Acres or thereabouts situate standing lying and being in Chadwell in the Parish of Rothley in the said County of Leicester and now or late in the Tenure of Matthew Marriott his Assignee or Assigns To have and to hold the said last mentioned Messuage or Tenement and two Closes with their and every of their Appurtenances unto and to the use of my said Nephew William Heich his Heirs and Assigns for ever

I also give and bequeath unto my said Nephew William Heich the sum of two hundred pounds to be paid by my Executrix hereinafter named within twelve Months next after my Decease

I Give and bequeath unto my Niece Elizabeth Heich the sum of three hundred Pounds to be paid by my said Executrix within twelve Months next after my Decease

I Give and bequeath unto my Niece Sarah Alsop the sum of two hundred pounds to be paid by my said Executrix within twelve months next after my decease

I Give and bequeath unto my Niece Elizabeth Stubley the sum of one hundred Pounds to be paid by my said Executrix within twelve Months next after my Decease

I Give and Bequeath unto my Niece Sarah Tiptaft the sum of two hundred Pounds to be paid by my said Executrix within twelve Months next after my Decease

All the Rest residue and Remainder of my Goods Chattels Ready Monies Securities for Money Effects and Personal Estate of what nature or kind soever I give and bequeath unto my Niece Mary Tiptaft whom I make constitute and appoint Sole Executrix of this my last Will and Testament hereby Revoking all former Wills by me at any Time heretofore made

In Witness whereof I have to this my last Will and Testament contained in two Sheets of Paper to the first of which I have set my Hand and to the last my Hand and Seal the Day and Year first above Written
