This is the last Will and Testament of me William Stokes of Long Clawson in the County of Leicester Coal Dealer and Maltster

I give to Sarah Ann Smith and Ann Eason (my neice) living at Syerston Nottmshire all my goods Cattles and Money in Bank and otherwise invested to be eaqual divided betwixt them the aforenamed Sarah Ann Smith and Ann Eason all my stock in Trade and I appoint the said Sarah Ann Smith and Ann Eason sole [sic] Executrixes of this my Will

In Witness whereoff I have hereunto set my hand this twentieth fourth day of October one Thousand eight Hundred and eighty one

Sined by the said William Stokes in the presence of us present and in the presance of each other have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses

Proved at Leicester on the twenty fifth day of August 1888 by the Oaths of Sarah Ann Smith, Spinster, and Ann Eason, Spinster, the Niece, the Executrixes to whom Administration was granted

The Testator William Stokes was late of Long Clawson in the County of Leicester Coal Dealer and Maltster, and died on the Thirty first day of July 1888 at Long Clawson aforesaid
