This is the last Will and Testament of Reuben Stokes of Hose in the County of Leicester Joiner and Grazier

I hereby give and bequeath to my Wife Mary Stokes, and my Son John Stokes as joint Executrix and Executor, for their own use and benefit, all my estate both real and personal whatsoever and wheresoever and of what quality soever, on the following conditions, that every thing remains as at the present time in reference to my estate until the decease of my Wife Mary Stokes, when after paying the following legacies to my three Daughters and Grandson, viz to Ann the sum of thirty pounds, and to her Son Reuben Glover the sum of twenty pounds, to Mary Stokes, the sum of fifty pounds, and to Elizabeth the sum of fifty pounds of lawful British money, leaving my Son John Stokes sole executor of all that remains of my real and personal estate for his own use and benefit

I also further appoint Mr Thos Hoe Stevenson as my Trustee for the faithful execution of this my last Will and Testament

In Witness whereof I have set my hand this Twenty ninth day of October One thousand eight hundred and eighty three

Proved at Leicester on the Fifth day of March 1884 by the Oaths of Mary Stokes Widow the Relict, and John Stokes, the Son, Executors to whom administration was granted

The Testator Reuben Stokes was late of Hose in the County of Leicester Joiner and Grazier and died on the Thirty first day of October 1883 at Hose aforesaid
