This is the last Will and Testament of Mary Stokes of Hose in the County of Leicester Widow as follows

First I direct my Debts legacies funeral and testamentary expences be fully paid

I Give & bequeath the Sum of Five pounds apiece unto my Children Edward, Esther, Mary, William, and Jane Stokes, which I will shall be paid within twelve months after my dicease by my Executor hereinafter named and I do hereby subject and charge my Personal Estate and Effects with the true payment thereof

I give and bequeath All my Personal Estate and Effects whatsoever subject as aforesaid unto my Son James Stokes his Executors Administrators and Assigns and do appoint him Sole Executor of this my last Will and testament hereby revoking all other Wills by me made

In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this fourteenth day of May One thousand eight hundred and twenty two

Signed sealed published and declared by the said Mary Stokes the testatrix as and for her last Will and testament in the presence of Us who have at her request in her presence and in the presence of each other set our hands as Witnesses to the due execution thereof

James Stokes of Hose in the County of Leicester Farmer and Grazier the sole executor in the will named was duly sworn to the truth and faithful performance thereof as usual and that the goods chattells and credits of the deceased do not amount in value to the sum of three hundred Pounds and that the deceased died on the twenty second day of December last
