This is the last Will and Testament of me Elizabeth Stokes of Long Clawson in the County of Leicester Spinster

I revoke all Wills and testamentary dispositions heretofore made by me

I appoint John Richard Stokes of Hose in the said County of Leicester Farmer to be the Executor and Trustee of this my Will

I bequeath to each of the following the sum of Twenty pounds viz: my second cousin John Robert Marriott Elizabeth Marriott of Colston Bassett in the County of Nottingham Mary Young of Southwell in the said County of Nottingham Lucy Wright of Marlock House Lowdham in the said County of Nottingham Mary Wright daughter of the said Lucy Wright Fanny Marriott of St Martins Stamford in the County of Northampton Charlotte Marriott of St Martins Stamford aforesaid Eliza Yates of Ratcliffe on Trent in the said County of Nottingham Ann Huckerby of Long Clawson aforesaid my cousin Alice Benton of Northampton Street Leicester in the said County of Leicester my second cousin Ellen Wright of Ripley in the County of Derby my second cousin Georgiana Burgin of Ripley aforesaid my second cousin Alice Dew who resides in Canada my second cousin William Adams Stokes my cousin Christopher Stokes of Hose aforesaid my godchild Mabel Wilford of Long Clawson aforesaid

I devise to the said John Richard Stokes my two closes of land called (The Hills) situate in Long Clawson aforesaid for his own use absolutely

I bequeath to Emily Stokes the wife of the said John Richard Stokes all my household furniture and effects linen and bedding except as hereinafter specified And I hereby express my desire that she the said Emily Stokes will not sell any of the goods or effects hereinbefore given to her

I bequeath all the remainder of my personal estate which shall include my cash cash at Bank securities wearing apparel consumable stores plate plated articles jewelry trinkets china glass books prints to Frances Elizabeth Marriott a daughter of John Marriot deceased which said Frances Elizabeth Marriott now resides with me

I devise all the remainder of my real estate unto the said John Richard Stokes his Executors or Administrators or other the Trustees or Trustee for the time being of this my Will Upon trust to sell the same in such manner and under such stipulations and at such time or times and upon such terms and conditions in all respects as he or they may think fit and shall with and out of the moneys to be produced by such sale pay my funeral and testamentary expenses and debts and the before mentioned legacies and shall stand possessed of the residue of the said moneys in trust to pay the same to the said Frances Elizabeth Marriott absolutely

In witness whereof I the said Testatrix Elizabeth Stokes have hereunto set my hand this Twelfth day of June One thousand nine hundred and six
