William Spencer of Nether Broughton 1743 Will

In the name of God amen I William Spencer of Nether Broughton in the County of Leicester Yeoman Do this twelfth day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand Seven hundred and thirty nine make this my last Will in manner following

First of all I resign my Soul into the hands of Almighty God my Creator and my body I committ to the earth to be decently buried at the discretion of my Executrix herein after named and as for my Temporal estate which it hath pleased almighty God to bestow upon me I give the same as follows to wit

I give and bequeath unto my loving Wife Mary Spencer all my Goods Cattle Chattles and personall Estate of what nature kind or quallity soever the same is my just debts Legacies and funeral Expences being first thereout paid and discharged and I Do hereby Confirm unto her all her right Interest and title she has and Claime or may have or Claim in unto or by virtue of my Marriage agreemt bearing date the first day of September in the year of our Lord 1730 And I Do hereby appoint her my Said loving Wife Sole executrix of this my last will and Testament hereby revoking all former Wills by me made declaring this to be my last Will and Testament and I also give Unto my Brothers and Sisters one Shilling apiece

In Witness whereof I the said William Spencer have hereunto set my hand and Seal the day and year first above written
