In the Name of God Amen I Thomas Smith of Eastwell in the County of Leicester Weaver being of sound and disposing mind memory and understanding do make and ordain this my last will and testament in manner and form following that is to say

First I will and direct that all my just debts legacies funeral and testamentary expences be paid and satisfied

I give and bequeath unto my nieces and nephews Elizabeth the Wife of Charles Barrowdale of Melton Mowbray in the said County of Leicester Drover Ann the Wife of Thomas Underwood of Asfordby in the said County of Leicester Stockinger Thomas Smith of Roadley in the said County of Leicester Stockinger William Smith of Thurmaston in the said County of Leicester Stockinger Hannah Barnes of Shelford in the County of Nottingham Widow and William Eggleston of Shrewsbury in the County of Salop Plumber and Glazier the sum of thirty pounds apiece

To my Son in law John Warner of Costock the sum of thirty pounds and to niece Ann Clark if living with me at the time of my decease if not to such other of my nieces as shall be then living with me the sum of thirty pounds

All the rest residue and remainder of my goods chattels personal estate and effects of what nature or kind soever I give and bequeath unto my niece Mary the Wife of John Clark of Branston in the said County of Leicester Baker and I do constitute and appoint the said John Clark sole executor of this my last Will and testament hereby revoking all former and other wills by me at any time heretofore made

In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this third day of July in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and seventeen

Let a probat be granted to John Clarke of Branston in the County of Leicester Baker sole Executor named in the Will of the within named Thomas Smith who died at Eastwell on the 14th day of Dec: 1817

He the said John Clarke being duly sworn as well to the faithful Execution of the Will as that the Testators Goods Chattels & Credits as they were at his death without deducting any debts owing by him therefrom did not amount within the Archdeaconry of Leicester to the sum of six hundred pounds
