Daniel Smith of Stathern then Ab Kettleby 1835 Will

This is the last Will and Testament of me Daniel Smith of Stathern in the county of Leicester Grazier

I Give and bequeath unto each of my children John Smith, Mary Dabel, Sarah Bickley, Hannah Bampton, Ann Lewis and Elizabeth Knight the sum of ten pounds and to my Son Daniel Smith the sum of ten pounds And I direct the same to be paid to them respectively within twelve months after my decease

I give and devise unto my son William Smith all my real estate whatsoever and wheresoever To hold unto the said William Smith his heirs and assigns for ever Subject to the payment of the above legacies and of my debts and funeral and testamentary Expences

I give unto my said son William Smith all my personal estate whatsoever and wheresoever To hold unto the said William Smith his executors administrators and assigns for ever

And I appoint the said William Smith sole executor of this my last will and testament hereby revoking all former wills by me at any time heretofore made

In Witness whereof I the said Daniel Smith the Testator have to this my last will and testament set my hand and seal the third day of June in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifteen

Signed sealed published and declared by the said Daniel Smith the testator as and for his last will and testament in the presence of us who at his request in his presence and in the presence of each other have subscribed our names as Witnesses

Let a probat be granted to William Smith of Ab Kettleby Farmer & Grazier, sole Executor of Daniel Smith who died at Ab Kettleby on the twenty fifty day of Oct last

He the said William Smith being duly sworn as well to the faithful execution of the Will, as that the Testator’s Goods, Chattels & Credits, as they were at his death, without deducting any Debts owing by him therefrom, did not amount in value to the Sum of one hundred pounds
