Dorothy Sisson of Long Clawson 1821 Will

This is the Last Will and Testament of me Dothory [sic] Sisson of Claxton otherwise Long Clawson in the County of Leicester as follows

First I direct my Just Debts funeral and testamentary expences be fully paid

I Give and bequeath all my Money securitys for Money’s plate Linnens and all my personal effects whatsoever and wheresoever to my Friend John Moore of Claxton otherwise Long Clawson in the County of Leicester, his Heirs Executors Administrators and Assigns, Upon Trust nevertheless for the following uses intents and purposes that is to say

I Give and bequeath to my Neice Mary Robins six silver Tea spoons, one pair of silver sugar tongs Marke MS one Gold Ring one pair of Sheets, one pair of pillow cases, one pair of napkins

I Give and bequeath to my neice Ann Eagle one Gold ring two silver table spoons one pair of sheets one pair of pillow cases and one large huckenback table cloth

I Give and bequeath to my neices aforesaid Mary and Ann One deal chest and all the remainder of my Linnen not otherwise bequeathed together with all my wearing aparel to take share and share alike

I Give and bequeath to My Nephew Thomas Sisson One bedstead hangings bolster and pillows, blankets and all compleat belonging to the Bed

I Give and bequeath to my Nephew Henry Sisson One set of drawers cased with Wallnut Tree

I Give and bequeath to my Sister in Law Ann Sisson the Interest arising from my Money and securities of Money yearly during the term of her natural Life and after her decease I Give and bequeath to Elizabeth Sisson the daughter of my Nephew Joseph Sisson Five pounds

I Give and bequeath to my Nephew John Sisson Five pound

I Give and bequeath all the rest and remainder of my property whatsoever to my nephew and Neices Thomas Sisson John Sisson Henry Sisson Mary Robins and Ann Eagle to be equally divided among them share and share alike

And lastly I do hereby nominate and appoint the said John Moore Executor in trust of this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking all former Wills by me made

In Witness whereof I the said Testatrix Dorothy Sisson have hereunto set my hand and seal this thirteenth day of May One Thousand eight Hundred and nineteen

Signed sealed published and declared by the said Testatrix Dorothy Sisson as and for her last Will and Testament in the presence of us who have at her request in her presence and in the presence of each other set our hands as witnesses to the due execution thereof

The Erasement in the 18th line (John Sisson the Son of) And the Interlining in the 19th line (John Sisson) was done before the execution of this Will

Let a Probat be granted to John Moore of Claxton otherwise Long Clawson in the county of Leicester Farmer and Grazier sole Executor named in the Will of Dorothy Sisson who died at Long Clawson on [sic] the month of March last a Spinster

He the said John Moore being duly sworn to the faithful execution of the Will as well as that the Testator’s Goods, Chattles & Credits as they were at his [sic] death without deducting any Debts owing by him therefrom did not amount in value to the sum of two hundred pounds
