Forasmuch as it is appointed for all once to die upon the seaventeenth day of September in the yeare of our Lord one Thousand six hundred Ninety & two I William Simson alias Thomasman of Neather Broughton in the County of Leicester yeoman being sicke and weake in body but of sound & perfect mind and memory praised be God do make and ordaine this my last will & testament in manner and forme as followeth

Imprimis I bequeath my soule to God who gave itt mee and my body to the earth

And as for those worldly goods which it hath pleased God to give mee I give & bequeath as followeth

First my will is that my Son William shall have all my lands upon this condition that hee pay unto my daughter Anne when shee shall be one & twenty yeares of age the sum of fourty pounds and also my will is that he pay unto my Son Richard when hee shall be one & twenty yeares of age the sum of Fourty pounds

And if my son William do neglect or refuse to pay the said sums as aforesaid then my will is that that Oxgange of land with all the appurtenances which my wife is not enffoeffed in be equally divided betwixt my three chilldren William Anne & Richard

And also my will is that if my Daughter Anne or my son Richard shall happen to die before the attaine to the age abovesaid the said portion of him or her so dying shall be divided betwixt the survivors

Lastly I give unto Elizabeth my wife all my goods Chattels & Cattle whatsoever shee paying my debts & funerall expences and I do hereby make her my sole executrix of this my last will & testament

In wittnesse whereof I have hereunto sett my hand and seal the day & yeare above written
