In the name of God amen September the 21st 1669 I Robert Simson alis Thomasman the Elder of Grimston in the Parish of Rothley in the County of Leic husbandman beinge weake and sickly of body but of Good and perfect memory praysed be the Lord for the same doe ordaine this my Last Will and Testament in manner and forme following

First I give and bequeath my Soule to Allmighty God my Creator hopeinge and verrily assuringe myselfe through the Lord his Mercyes and Jesus Christ my Saviours and Redeemers meritts to be partaker of Life Everlastinge And my body I bequeath to the Earth from whence it was taken to be buried in Christian buryall in the Churchyarde of Grimston aforesayd at the discretion of my Executrix and for the worldly Goodes which it hath pleased the Lord to bestow upon me I doe dispose of them in manner and forme following

First I give unto my loveinge sonne William Simson alis Thomasman Seaven Pounds for his filiall portion

Item I give unto my loveing Daughter Jane Simson alis Thomasman twenty pounds for her filiall portion

Item I give unto my loveing daughter Ann Simson alis Thomasman twenty pounds for her filiall portion

Item I give unto my loveinge Daughter Elizabeth Simson alis Thomasman twenty pounds for her filiall portion

Item I give my Sonne Will two Sheepe & my Grandchild one and my three daughters Seaven to Every one of them

Lastly I give unto my loveinge Wife Elizabeth Simson als Thomasman all the rest of my Goods unbequeathed whom I constitute ordaine & apoint to be my Executrix with whom I leave my Estate requireinge her to pay the Legacies as I have bequeathed them two yeares after my death my Debts allsoe if any be & my funerall Charges

Thus I make this my last Will and Testament wittnesse my hand and seale hereunto placed the day and yeare first above written
