Forasmuch as it is appointed for all once to dye upon the Nineteenth day of October in the yeare of our Lord one Thousand seaven hundred & seaven I Elizabeth Simson alias Thomasman of Neather Broughton in the County of Leicester widdow being sicke and weake in body but of perfect memory & remembrance praised be God, do make and ordaine this my last will and Testament in manner and forme as followeth

First I bequeath my soule to God and my body to the earth

And as for those worldly Goods which it hath pleased God to bestow upon me I give & bequeath as followeth

Imp: I give unto my son Richard the sum of Twenty pounds and the household goods to be equally divided betwixt my son William and him

And as for the Rest of my Goods Cattle & Chattels I give unto William my Son he paying my debts legacys and funeral charges

And I do hereby make him the sole Executor of this my last will & Testament

In witnesse whereof I do hereunto sett my hand and seal the day and yeare above written
