Joel Shuttlewood of Goadby Marwood 1808 Will

In the Name of God Amen I Joel Shuttlewood of Goadby Marwood in the County of Leicester Graizer do make publish and declare this to be my last Will and Testament in form and Manner following namely

After the payment of my just debts Funeral and Testamentary expences I Give and bequeath to my Daughter Hannah Sharp one of my Large Silver Spoons and to my Daughter Elizabeth Shuttlewood I Give my ash chest of Drawers now standing in the Parlour of my dwelling house at Goadby aforesaid and to my Daughter Mary Shuttlewood I Give when she shall attain the age of Twenty one years the small Bedstead Wool Bed Feather pillow Blankets Coverlet and all appurtenances thereto now standing in my far Chamber and to my Daughter Ann Shuttlewood I Give when she shall attain the age of Twenty one years the large Blue Bedstead Feather Bed hangings Blankets Coverlet and all appurtenances thereto and to my Son Thomas Shuttlewood I Give when he shall attain the age of Twenty one years the Large Check Bedstead Feather Bed hangings Blankets Coverlet and all appurtenances thereto

All the rest residue and reminder of my personall property whatsoever and wheresoever I Give to my Loving Wife Hannah Shuttlewood during the term of her natural Life with all profits thereof and at her decease I Give the same to my Son Joel Shuttlewood subject nevertheless to the Conditions herein after mentioned

First during his Mother Hannah Shuttlewoods Life I wish him to have Ten pounds a year to find himself Cloths and necessaries if he continues to long to assist her in the Management of my farm at Goadby aforesaid but no longer than he humbly and orderly Submits to her reasonable and lawful commands and my Further will is that my Wife Hannah Shuttlewood and my Son Joel Shuttlewood whom I appoint Joint Executrix and Executor of this my last Will and Testament do maintain and provide necessaries for my Son Thomas Shuttlewood and my Daughter Ann Shuttlewood both before named till they attain the age of Twenty one years or Marry before that time or they enjoy my Farm at Goadby aforesaid or any other provided with my personal property and jointly or severally as they may possess or use the same

In witness whereof I have hereunto set my Hand and seal this Twenty Eight day of October one Thousand Eight Hundred

Signed sealed published and declared by the above named Joel Shuttlewood for and as his Last Will and Testament in the presence of us and in the presence of each other and at his desire

Let probat be granted to Hannah Shuttlewood & Joel Shuttlewood the joint Executors of this Will they being sworn to the due execution of it & also made oath that the whole personal Estate of the Testator at the time of his death did not amount in value to the sum of Six hundred pounds
