In the Name of God Amen I Ellen Shuttlewood of Scalford in the Countie of Leicester Widdowe being sick and weak of Body but of sound and perfect Mind and Memory thanks be to God for the same Doe make and ordaine this my last Will and Testamt in Manner & Form following

First and principally I committ my Soule to Allmighty God my Creator assuredly believing that through the passion Death and Merritts of my blessed Saviour and Redeemer Jesus Christ I shall receive full pardon and free Remission of all my Sinns and Inheritt eternal life And my Bodie to the Earth to be buryed in such Decent and Christian Manner as to my Executrixes herein after named shalbe thought meet and convenient

And as touching such temporall Estate as the Lord in Mercy hath lent me I doe dispose thereof as herein after by this my present Will and Testamt is Expressed

Imprimis I give and devise unto my Daughter Sarah Marshall now wife of William Marshall of Scalford inn the Countie of Leicester gent all my house commonly called by the name of the Bull Inn Scituate standing & being in High Street in the Town of Leicester afforesaid Now in the Tenure & Occupation of Susanna Cooper Inkeeper Together with all the Outhouses, Barnes Stables Edifices Buildings ways, Passages, Easemts And all & singular other the appurtenances unto the same belonging or in any wise appertaining, her Heires & Assignes for ever

ItemI give and devise unto my three Daughters Mary Hodgkin of Willford in the Countie of Nottingham widdow, And Esther Falkner of Uppingham in the County of Rutland Widdow And alsoe the aforesaid Sarah Marshall of Scalford aforesaid, all those my Freehold Closes commonly called by the Name of Stone pitt Closes lying and being within the precincts & Territories of Cold Newton in the County of Leicester And all other my Lands & Tenemts with theire Appurtenances in Cold Newton aforesaid equally to be divided amongst them to the Use of the sayd Mary Hodgkin Esther Falkner & Sarah Marshall theire Heires and Assignes for ever

Item Lastly I give & bequeath unto my aforesaid three Daughters Mary Hodgkin, Esther Falkner and Sarah Marshall the rest of my Goods Cattle, Chattels Bonds Bills Leases Judgmts And other my personall Estate of what Nature Kind Quallity or Species soever the same be equally to be Divided amongst them After my Debts & Legacis is payd and my Funerall Expences is Discharged, whom I doe hereby Ordaine and appoint Joyntly and together Executrixes of this my present last Will & Testament

And I doe hereby revoake all other wills & Testamts by me heretofore made whether by word of mouth or in writing And do declare & publish this present will to be my last will & Testamt

In witnesse whereof I have hereunto sett my hand and seal this fourteenth Day of March in the yeare of the Raigne of our Soveraigne Lord King James the second of England Scotland France and Ireland Defender of the Faith &c Annoq Dom 1686/7
