This is the last Will and Testament of me William Shipman of Harby in the County of Leicester Farmer

I direct my just debts funeral and testamentary expenses to be fully paid and satisfied by my Executors hereinafter named as soon as conveniently may be after my decease

I give and devise and bequeath unto my eldest Son William Shipman of Hose in the said County of Leicester Farmer William Shilcock of the same place Farmer and Elijah Timms of Odstone in the said County of Leicester Farmer and Miller their heirs executors and administrators All my real and personal Estate and effects whatsoever and wheresoever Upon trust nevertheless that they the said William Shipman William Shilcock and Elijah Timms or the survivors or survivor of them or the heirs executors or administrators of such survivor shall pay the rents and profits or annual income arising therefrom Unto my Wife Sarah for and during the term of her natural life if she shall so long continue my Widow

And from and immediately after her death or second marriage Upon trust to divide my said real and personal Estate (except such part of my said real estate as I have directed to be sold as hereinafter mentioned) equally between my two sons Henry and Thomas Andrew their heirs executors administrators and assigns

But in case either of my said Sons shall die under the age of twenty one years Then upon Trust for the survivor first paying thereout unto such of my Daughters hereinafter named who shall live to attain the age of twenty one years the sum of One hundred pounds each such sum to be paid to them respectively at the expiration of six Calendar months after the survivor of my said sons Henry or Thomas Andrew shall come into possession of my said real and personal Estate

But in case both my said sons Henry and Thomas Andrew shall die under the age of twenty one years Then upon Trust for my said Eldest son William his heirs executors administrators and assigns first paying thereout unto such of my said Daughters who shall live to attain the age of twenty one years the sum of Two hundred pounds each such sum to be paid to them respectively at the expiration of six Calendar months after my said son William shall come into possession of my said real and personal Estate

I give and devise unto the said William Shipman William Shilcock and Elijah Timms their heirs executors and administrators All that Close piece or parcel of land situate in Harby aforesaid called Shibthorne [Slubthorne?] now divided into two Closes and containing fourteen acres and a half or thereabouts which I purchased of Mr Richard Dunsmore Upon Trust that the said William Shipman William Shilcock and Elijah Timms or the survivors or survivor of them or the heirs executors or administrators of such survivor shall sell the same and divide the money arising from such sale after payment thereout of all expenses unto and equally between amongst such of my Daughters Betsy the Wife of Joseph Marriott Ann and Mary Ellen who shall live to attain the age of twenty one years

And lastly I appoint my said son William Shipman William Shilcock and Elijah Timms joint Executors of this my Will

In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand this fifteenth day of November in the year one thousand eight hundred and sixty nine

Proved at Leicester on the twenty ninth day of July 1886 by the Oath of William Shipman, the Son, the surviving Executor to whom Administration was granted

The Testator William Shipman was late of Harby in the County of Leicester Farmer and died on the twenty sixth day of May 1886 at Harby aforesaid
