Henry Shilcock of Hose 1878 Will

This is the last Will and Testament of me Henry Shilcock of Hose in the County of Leicester Farmer

I give and bequeath the sum of nineteen Guineas to the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor for the time being Upon Trust to place the same out at Interest and apply the Interest or Dividends thereof every year for the benefit of the Poor Inhabitants of Hose aforesaid and in such proportions and at such time as they shall think best

I charge the above legacy on my personal estate only

I give and devise all my Messuages Land and Hereditaments situate at Hose aforesaid and all other the real Estate of which I shall die possessed unto my Wife Frances Shilcock her heirs and assigns for ever Subject to the payment of my Debts Funeral and Testamentary Expences

I give and bequeath all my Household Furniture Farming Stock Money securities for Money and all other my personal Estate and Effects unto my said Wife (& subject to the said Legacy) absolutely

I give and devise all the Messuages Closes Lands Tenements and Hereditaments whatsoever and wheresoever of which I am seized as Trustee for any person or persons or Mortgagee in Fee unto and to the use of my said Wife her heirs and assigns for ever nevertheless upon the same Trusts and subject to the equity of Redemption upon which I shall hold the same at the time of my death

And I appoint my said Wife sole Executrix of this my last Will and Testament

In Witness whereof I the said Henry Shilcock the Testator have hereunto set my hand this Tenth day of February One thousand eight hundred and sixty three

Signed published and declared by the said Henry Shilcock the Testator as and for his last Will and Testament in the presence of us who at his request in his presence and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names as Witnesses

Proved at Leicester on the Twenty sixth day of June 1878 by the Oath of Frances Shilcock Widow the Relict the sole Executrix to whom Administration was granted

The Testator Henry Shilcock was late of Hose in the County of Leicester Farmer and died on the First day of May 1878 at Hose aforesaid
