This is the last Will and Testament of me Frances Shilcock of Hose in the County of Leicester Widow

I hereby revoke all former testamentary dispositions made by me

I appoint my brother in law Richard Sharpe of Fawley and my Nephew Henry Morley of Nottingham (who are hereinafter called “my Trustees”) Executors and Trustees of this my Will

I bequeath the following pecuniary legacies namely to Ann Timms the daughter of my late Husband’s brother John Shilcock a legacy of Two hundred and fifty pounds but if she shall die in my lifetime then the same legacy to her son Thomas Timms

To my sister Caroline Hill a legacy of Two hundred pounds

To my niece Sarah Jane Barlow a legacy of One hundred pounds

To my niece Ann Stokes a legacy of Fifty pounds

To my servant Gilbert Stevens and legacy of Ten pounds

And to the children of my late niece Amelia Barlow and the children of her late son Robert Barlow a legacy of Three hundred pounds And I direct that the last mentioned legacy shall be divided in such manner that the children of the said Amelia Barlow shall share equally as between themselves and the children of the said Robert Barlow shall take equally between them a share equal in amount to the share of each of the children of the said Amelia Barlow

I direct my Trustees to hand over to the persons who shall be specified in any schedule which may be found with my papers at my decease the articles of household furniture and effects enumerated therein

I give devise and bequeath all the real and personal estate and effect whatsoever and wheresoever of or to which I shall be seized possessed or entitled at the time of my decease not otherwise disposed of by this my Will to my Trustees Upon Trust that my Trustees shall sell call in and convert the same into money or such part thereof as shall not consist of money and shall with and out of the moneys produced by such sale calling in and conversion and out of my ready money pay my funeral and testamentary expenses and debts and the pecuniary legacies bequeathed by this my Will or any Codicil hereto and shall then divide the net residue of the said moneys (hereinafter called “my residuary estate”) into eight equal shares And I direct my Trustees to invest three of such eighth shares of my residuary estate in or upon any of the stocks funds or securities authorized by law as investments for trust moneys with power for my Trustees from time to time to vary such investments and to pay the income of the said three shares and the investments thereof to my sister Eliza Sharpe during her life and after her decease to divide the same three eighth shares equally amongst all the children of the said Eliza Sharpe who shall be then living and the issue then living of any deceased child of the said Eliza Sharpe such issue to take and if more than one equal shares as tenants in common only share or shares to which their parent or respective parents would if living have been entitled

And I direct my Trustees to pay over the remaining five eighth shares of my residuary estate to the children of my late sister Sarah Lamin by her first husband William Morley named the said Henry Morley Mary Ann Sprent Eliza Morley and William Morley to be equally divided between them share and share alike And I declare that if any one or more of them the said Henry Morley Mary Ann Sprent Eliza Morley and William Morley shall die in my lifetime leaving a child or children living at my death and in every such case the last mentioned child or children shall take and if more than one equally between them the share which his her or their parent would have taken of and in my residuary estate under this my Will if such parent had survived me

And I declare that all the pecuniary legacies bequeathed by this my Will or any Codicil hereto shall be paid primarily out of my personal estate in exoneration so far as may be of the proceeds of sale of my real estate

Signed and declared by the above named Frances Shilcock the Testatrix as and for her last Will and Testament in the presence of us both being present at the same time who at her request in her presence and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names as Witnesses the words “of the children” on the twentieth line from the top of the first page hereof having been first erased with a pen
