William Shelton of Chadwell 1817 Will

This is the last Will and Testament of me William Shelton the Elder of Caudwell in the Parish of Rothley in the County of Leicester Grazier as follows

I Give and Devise All that Close of Pasture Ground situate lying and being in Caudwell aforesaid called or known by the name of the Horse Pool Close and containing One Acre and one rood or thereabouts (be the same more or less) and now in my own occupation And also all that other Close of Pasture Ground situate in Caudwell aforesaid and called or known by the name of the three Corner’d Close and containing three roods or thereabouts (be the same more or less) and now also in my own occupation Together with all and singular the rights members and appurtenances to the same belonging To hold the same with the Appurtenances unto my second Son Thomas Shelton his heirs and assigns for ever

I Give and bequeath unto my Son Christopher Shelton the sum of thirty Pounds and unto my Son Francis Shelton the sum of Thirty Pounds which I will shall be paid to them respectively within twelve Calendar Months next after my decease by my Executor hereinafter named

And Lastly All my money securities for money household Goods furniture Plate linen china ware goods chattels and Personal Estate of what nature sort or kind soever the same may be (subject to the Payment of my just Debts legacies funeral and Testamentary expences) I Give and bequeath unto my sd Son Thomas Shelton his Executives and Administrators

And I do hereby nominate constitute and appoint my said Son Thomas Shelton sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking all former wills by me made

In Witness whereof I the said William Shelton the Elder and Testator have hereunto set my hand and seal this Eighteenth day of December in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and Ten
