In the Name of God Amen I Robeart Shelton of Eaton in the County of Leicester yeoman being infirm in Body but of sound and disposing mind memory and understanding do make and publish this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following that is to say

First of all I give and Bequeath my immortal Soul into the Hands of Almighty God hoping for Mercy at my Resurrection through the merits of Christ Jesus my Saviour and my Body I commit to be decently interred in the Parish Church yard of Eaton aforesaid at the discretion of my Executrix and Executor hereinafter named

And as for my worldly and Temporal Estate with which it hath pleased God to bless me I give and dispose thereof in the following Manner

My Will and Command is that my Daughter Anne shall live with and have a sufficient and competent maintenance with Cloathes, Washing and Lodging allowed her by my Executrix and Executor hereinafter named so long as they shall agree to live together and one Guinea a year for Pocket Money to be paid her Quarterly but in case it be the desire of my Executrix and Executor that my said Daughter Anne shall not live with them I do hereby bequeath unto her my said Daughter Anne one Annuity or clear yearly Sum of seven Pounds during the Term of her natural Life to be issuing and payable out of the produce and proffits of the Farm I now enjoy or any Estate hereinafter given to them to be paid to her my said Daughter Anne at her place of Abode by my Executrix and Executor or the Survivor of them at four equal quarterly Payments in the year, the first Payment thereof to be made Three Calendar Months after the time of my Decease or the time of her leaving them as the Case may be

Also I give and bequeath unto my said Daughter Anne the Bed Bedstead and Bedding thereunto belonging One Chest of Drawers, One Dressing Table, One Buffet, and half a Dozen of Chairs (all of them in the Parlour)

Also I give and bequeath unto my Grandson Thomas the Sum of Ten pounds to put him to some Trade he shall chuse when he arrives at a proper Age and my Will is and I do hereby direct that my Executrix and Executor or the Survivor of them shall find him with sufficient Cloaths Meat Drink Washing and Lodging till the time of his going to such Trade and during the Time of his Apprenticeship shall provide him with sufficient and necessary Cloaths

And I also do hereby give and bequeath the Sum of Twenty Pounds to him my said Grandson Thomas to be paid him by my Executrix and Executor or the Survivor of them at the Times and proportions hereafter mentioned that is to say the Sum of Ten pounds being part thereof when he shall attain the Age of Twenty four years, and Ten pounds the residue thereof when he shall attain the Age of Twenty six years which said sum of Thirty Pounds so given to him my said Grandson Thomas and for his Use as aforesaid I do direct shall be raised out of the produce and profits of the Farm and personal Estate as the Annuity herein before given to my Daughter Anne is directed to be raised

Also I do hereby give and bequeath to my said Grandson Thomas one Wool bed Bedstead and Bedding thereto belonging in the End Chamber and One Chest in the said Chamber

And I do hereby nominate constitute and appoint Mr William Mason of Smeaton in the County of Leicester yeoman and Mr William Shelton of Caudwel in the same County yeoman Trustees and Guardians for my said Daughter Anne and my Grandson Thomas with full power to ask for demand recover and receive the said Annuity and Legacies and Sums of Money herein before by me given and apply them for the purposes herein before mentioned

Also I do hereby give and bequeath all my personal Estate Goods Cattels Chattels and Effects of what Nature or kind soever and not herein by me otherwise disposed of after payment of all my just Debts, Legacies and Funeral Expences unto my dearly beloved Wife Frisworth and my Son Francis whom I hereby constitute and appoint joint Executrix and Executor of this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking all former and every other Will or Wills by me at any Time heretofore made

In Witness whereof I the said Robeart Shelton the Testator have hereunto set my hand and Seal the Twelth Day of April in the year of our Lord One Thousand seven Hundred and Eighty one
