William Scarborough of Scalford 1762 Will

In the Name of God Amen I William Scarborrough the Elder of Scalford in the County of Leicester Cordwainer being of Sound mind memory & understanding praised be God for the Same Doe make & Ordain this my Last Will & Testamt in Manner and forme following (viz)

First of all I give and bequeath to my Sone Thomas Scarborough One Shilling

Also I give & bequeath to my Sone George Scarborrow One Shilling

Also I give and bequeath to my Sone William Scarborough Eight pounds to be paid to him by Twenty Shillings a year by my Executors or the Survivour of them

Also I give & bequeath to my Daughter Elizabeth Burten One Shilling & do my Daughter Mary Clark One Shilling

Also I give & bequeath to my Daughter Alice Hicklin One Shilling And to my Daughter Sarah Garton One Shilling

Also I give & bequeath to my Daughter Ruth Scarborrough all the Houshold goods in my Little Chamber

Also I give to my Daughter Frances Scarborrough One bed & Bedstead & all the Furneture belonging to it, with Two black Chears and two white ones

Also I give & bequeath to my Loving Wife Elizabeth Scarborrough & to my Sone Mathew Scarborrough all my messuage Cottage or Tenament One Acre of meadow ground One Cow pasture with the Appurtenances Scituate Standing lying & being in the Town Fields & precincts of Scalford aforesaid & now in my own possession Dureing the Terme of my Wifes Life & after her decease then I give & bequeathe the Same unto my Sone Mathew Scarborrough to him the Said Mathew Scarborough his heirs & Assignes for ever

Lastly all the Rest Residue & Remainder of my goods & Chattels I give and bequeath unto my Loving Wife Elizabeth Scarborrough & to my Sone Mathew Scarborough whom I doe Constitute make & Ordaine my whole & Sole Executors of this my Last Will & Testament utterly Revoking all former Wills by me at any time heretofore made

In witness whereof I the Said William Scarborrow the Testator have hereunto Sett my hand & Seal this Sixteenth day of September in the Year of our Lord one thousand Seven hundred & Sixty (1760)
