In the Name of God Amen I Thomas Rowse of Hose in the County of Leicester Yeoman being sick in Body but of a Sound and Perfect Mind & Memory Praised be God Doe Make and ordaine this my present Last will & Testament in Manner & form following (That is to say)

First & principally I Comend my Soul Into the hands of Almighty god my Maker and Redeemer hopeing through the Merits death & Passion of my Saviour Jesus Christ to have full and free pardon and forgiveness of all my sins And my Body I Commit to the Earth to be Decently Buried at the Discression of my Executors hereafter Named

And as Touching the Disposition of Such Temporal Estate as it hath pleased Almighty god to bestow upon me I give and Dispose as followeth

First I will that my Debts & Funeral Charges shall be paid & Discharged

Imprimis I give unto my Son Thomas Rowse the sume of Thirty pounds whereof Ten pounds shall be paid when he is Fitt to be putt to a Trade and Twenty pounds more shall be paid when he attaines to the Age of Twenty one Years

Item I Give unto my Eldest Daughter Anne Rowse the Sume of Twenty pounds To be paid when shee attaines to the age of Twenty one years

Item I give unto my Daughter Mary Rowse the Sume of Twenty pounds to be paid when shee Attaines to the age of Twenty one years

Item I Give unto my Daughter Elizabeth Rowse the Sume of Twenty pounds to be paid when shee Attaines to the age of Twenty one years

Item I Give unto my Daughter Issabell Rowse the Sume of Twenty pounds to be paid when shee Attaines to the age of Twenty one years

And it is my Will that If any of my Children above Named should happen to die before their Legacies become due that the Legacie or Legacies that may soe happen Shall be Equally Divided amongst the rest of my Children above Mentioned that shall be alive And further it is my Will that My Cousin Richard Gillen of Hose In the County of Leicester and my Brother John Oliver of Aslacton in the County of Nottingham Should be Trustees to see & Cause that this my Will be Truly performed

And all the rest & Residue of my personal Estate Goods & Chattells Whatsome Ever I doe Give & bequeath unto Elizabeth my Loving wife and unto my Eldest Son John Rowse full & whole Executors of this my Last Will & Testament

And Lastly it is my Will that all my Children should be Brought upp with Cloathing Maintenance and Learning at the Cost & Charges of my Executors above Mentioned untill Each & Every one of them Attaine to the age of Sixteen years

And I do hereby Revoke Disanull & Make void all former Wills and Testaments by me heretofore made

In whittness whereof I do hereunto sett my hand and seal This Eighteenth Day of January In the year of our Lord 1708/9
