In the name of God Amen I Mary Rouse Widowe of Statherne in the County of Leicester sicke in body but whole in mynde doe make this my last will and Testament in manner and forme as followeth
First I give and bequeath my Soule unto God my maker and Redeemer and my body to be buryed in a Christian like manner in the Church yarde of Statherne at the Discretion of my Friends
And first for my Goods I now enioy I give to my friends as followeth
First I give and bequeath to Damisine Shipley Twenty shillings and to her daughter Thomasine Shipley Twentie shillings
Item I give Five poundes to Mary Parnam
Item I give five poundes to Darothie Parnam
Item I give to John Parnam Thomas Parnam Gregory Parnam The Sume of Tenne pounds equally to bee divided amongst them
Item I give to Thomas Sturdy of Burton Carpenter Five shillinges
Item I give to John Sturdy Five shillings
Item I give to Mary Sturdy Bridgett Sturdy and … Sturdy Thirtie shillings equally to be divided amongst them
Item I give to Mary Greye and her Three Children Thirteen shillings fowre pence equally to bee divided amongst them
Item I give to William Frisby Twoe shillings
Item I give to William Beardy Two shillings
Item I give to Henry Parnam tenn poundes only my minde is that hee shall give out of that Tenn poundes sixteene shillinges to his brother Thomas Parnam
And all the rest of my goodes I give to Thomas Parnam my Executor and I give to Master Robert Frickleton Minister for his paines in praying for mee Tenne shillings and preachinge my Funerall Sermon
This my Will I desire it may bee fulfilled

The sixt day of March in the yeare of our Lord God according to the Computacon of the Church of England One Thousand six hundred fiftie three Administracon with the Will annexed issued forth unto Ellianor Parnam (the Relict of Thomas Parnam Sole executor of the said Deceased who died before hee tooke upon him the execucon thereof) To Administer all and singuler the goods chattles and debts of the sayd deceased Shee being first sworne by vertue of a Commission truely to Administer the same
