William Robinson of Scalford 1671 Will and Inventory

In the name of god Amen I Willm Robinson of Scalford in the Countye of Leister being weake of body but of perfect memory & understanding (praised be God therefore) doe make & ordeine this my last will & testament in maner & forme following

First I bequeath my soule into the hands of Almighty God hoping for salvation onely by the meritts of his son Jesus xt

My body I bequeath unto the earth decently to bee interrd at the discretion of my Executrix hoping for a joyfull resurrection at the second coming of xt Jesus my saviour

And for that worldly estate wch God hath lent me I dispose of it as followeth

First I give & bequeath unto Susanna daughter of my Sister Margaret fourty shillings of Current money to be payed her within one yeare next after my decease

Also I give & bequeath unto Anne Lambert daughter to my sister Lambert of Melton five pounds of Current money to bee payed her when shee shall accomplish the age of one & twenty yeares

And if it shall please God that shee depart this life before shee accomplish that age then my will is that it bee payed unto her mother And if it shall please God that shee also shall decease before that time, then my will is that it bee equally divided & payed to her two brothers

Also I give five shillings unto Willm Adcocke my servant to bee payed within one halfe yeare after my decease

All the rest of my estate corne graine hey bease sheepe horses goods bills bonds debts dues & demands whatsoever I give & bequeath it all unto my Loving wife Mary Robinson whom I make sole executrix of this my last will & testament
