This is the last Will and Testament of me Amelia Roberts of Scalford in the County of Leicester, Spinster as follows (that is to say)

I Will and direct that all my just debts Funeral and Testamentary Expences be in the first place paid off and discharged by my Executors hereinafter named so soon as conveniently may be after my decease from and out of my personal Estate

I Give and devise All those my four Freehold Messuages Dwelling houses or Tenements, Land Hereditaments and Premises thereunto belonging situate standing and being in Scalford aforesaid in the several occupations of myself, John Smith, William Penniston and James Thornton their Undertenant or Undertenants unto and to the use of my Sister Harriett Daws the Wife of Jonathan Daws of Hyson Green in the County of Nottingham Lacemaker her heirs and assigns for ever

I also Give and bequeath All my Household Furniture, Goods, Chattels and all other my personal Estate and Effects whatsoever and wheresoever unto my said Sister Harriett Daws her Executors Administrators and Assigns absolutely and for ever

I Give and bequeath to my Brother James Roberts of London Staymaker the Sum of Five pounds of lawful money of Great Britain to be paid to him at the expiration of Twelve Months from and after my decease from and out of my personal Estate

And Lastly I do hereby nominate constitute and appoint the said Jonathan Daws and James Wallis of Nottingham Park in the said County of Nottingham, Clothier the joint Executors of my last Will and Testament hereby revoking all former and other Wills by me at any time heretofore made

In Witness whereof I the said Testatrix Amelia Robert have to this my last Will and Testament set my hand and seal this twelfth day of May in the Year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and thirty three

Let a Probate be made to Jonathan Daws of Hyson Green in the Parish of Lenton in the County of Leicester [sic] Lacemaker one of the Executors named in the said Will of the deceased who died 15th May Inst with Power of making the like Grant to James Wallis of Nottingham Park in the said County of Nottingham Clothier the other Executor when he shall apply for the same

He the said Jonathan Daws being first duly sworn as well to the faithful Execution of the Will as that the Testatrix’s Goods Chattels and Credits without deducting any debts due and owing by her therefrom do not amount in value to Twenty Pounds
