William Rick of Wartnaby 1683 Will

In the name of God amen I William Rick of Wartnaby in the County of Leicester yeoman being sick and weake in body but of Good and perfect remembrance thanks be to God for it I therefore declare this to be my last Will and Testament in manner and form following

First I bequeath my Soule into the hands of Almighty God my Creator and his Sonne Jesus Christ by whose death and passion I hope to be saved and as for my body I committ it to the Earth to be buried at the discretion of my Executor and for my Temporall Estate which it hath pleased God to bless me withall I bequeath it as followeth

First I give and bequeath unto my Sonne George all my five oscon of land and the house I purchased of Henry Siler in Sutton with all thereunto belonging and three Closen and all my Goods whatsoever reall and personall and also all my hors beas and sheep and houshold Goods whatsoever

Item I give unto my Sonne William one house in the occupacion of Ash and Threescore pounds of lawfull mony when he shall accomplish the age of one and

Item my wife only to have her Thurds of my land

Item I make my Sonn George my whole and sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament and as for all former wills by me made I utterly revoke and adnull

In wittness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the seaven and twentie day of December one Thousand Six hundred eightie two

Item I give unto my Brother Georg one Shilling

Item I give unto my Brother James one Shilling
