March 4th Anno 1637

In the name of God Amen I Leonard Prentice of Harby being weake of body but of parfect memory praised be God doe make this my last will & testament in manner & forme following

First I comitt my soule into the hands of god that gave it me trusting to be saved by the bitter death passion & merrits of My Savior Jesus Xt & my body I comitt to the ground from whence it was taken to be buryed in the Churchyard of Harby aforesaid & my worldly goods I bestow as followeth

First I give unto my daughter Anne Prentice the sum of ten pounds to be put forward for her Behoofe att Mayday come twelve moneths which shall be in the yeare of our Lord god 1639 and if she dye before she come to the age of 18 yeares that then the sayd sum & increase shall redound to my beloved wife Elizabeth Prentice & the sayd childe I commite to be governed by my said wife all her minority with the benefit of her portion during her widdow hood & if my wife doe marry my will is that the sayd ten pounds shall be put forward for my daughter Anne by my brother Geofry Dallywater

All the rest of my good Chattles & Cattells unbequeathed I give unto my beloved wife Elizabeth Prentice who I make Executrix of this my last Will & Testament my body being by her decently & orderly interred, my debts payd & my legacyes discharged
