In the name of god Amen The xxith daye of June in the yere of our lord 1592 & in the yere of the raigne of our Soveraigne Ladye Elizabeth by the grace of god Queene of England France & Ireland defender of the fayth &c I John Porter of Harbie in the countye of Leicester husbandman beinge sicke in boodye but of good & perfect remembrance thanks be to god, remembringe the uncertayne houre of death do ordayne constitute & make this my last will & testament in manner & forme followinge
First I bequeath my soule to Almightie god, & my bodie to be buryed in the churchyard of Harbie aforesaid
Itm I geve & bequeath to Richard Porter my Sonne xxvis viiid of good & lawfull money of England
Itm I give & bequeath to Rebecca Porter my Eldest Daughter xxvis viiid
Itm I geve & bequeath to Elizabeth Porter my youngest Daughter xxvis viiiid
And I will that they all of them be payd the same at the adge of xxi yeers if it shall please god that they live so longe & if it shall please god to call any of them to his mercy before they shall accomplishe the aforesayd adge then I will the reste beinge alive shall have there parte or partes to remayne to ther use or uses
All the residue of my goods & cattells moveable or Immoveable remayninge or beinge in Harbie aforesaid or elsewhere I give & bequeath to Prudence my wife, to bringe upp my children withall, whom allso I do make my full executrix of this my last will & testament, shee payinge my debts & discharginge my legacies & bringinge my boodye honestlye to the ground
Allso I do make James Hubbard & Richard Spicke the supervisers of the premisses to see this my last will & testament performed & kepte, & they to have for there paynes eche of them iid
