This is the last Will and Testament of me William Pick of Abb Kettleby in the County of Leicester Miller

First I desire to be Buried in a Private and Decent Manner at the discretion of my Executor hereinafter named And as for my Worldly Estate which hath Pleased God to bless me with I Give and dispose thereof as follows

In the first Place I Give and Devise All those my two Messuages or Tenements with the orchards Hereditaments and Premisses with the Appurtenances Situate standing and being in Abb Kettleby aforesaid and now in the several Tenures of myself and Elizabeth Wilford our Assignee or Assigns And also all those my Five several New inclosed Closes of Pasture or Grounds inclosed Hereditaments and Premisses with the Appurtenances situate lying and being with the Manor or Lordship of Abb Kettleby aforesaid Containing together in the whole Seventy three Acres Three Roods and Twenty Six Perches of thereabouts (be the same more or less) And now in my own Tenure or occupation which said several Pieces of Parcels of Land were allotted unto me upon the Inclosure of the several Common and Open Fields of Abb Kettleby aforesaid In Lieu and in full Satisfaction of Three yard Lands or thereabouts and Common Right therein and thereto belonging And also all that Close of Pasture or Ground inclosed lying in the Lordship of Holwell in the said County of Leicester Containing by Estimation Two Acres One Rood and Ten Perches or thereabouts and now in the Tenure of Richard Taylor his Assignee or Assigns unto my Eldest Son William Pick his Heirs and Assigns for ever To Have and to hold the said Messuages or Tenements Closes Lands Hereditaments and Premisses with their Appurtenances and every part thereof unto my said Eldest Son William Pick his Heirs and Assigns for ever

And I do hereby subject and Charge my said Messuages or Tenements Closes Lands Hereditaments and Premisses with the just and true payment of the several Legacies hereinafter by me specifically given and bequeathed

Also I give and bequeath unto my Youngest Son John Pick the Sum of one Hundred Pounds of Lawfull Money of Great Britain to be Paid him within twelve Months next after my Decease by my Executor hereinafter named

Also I Give and bequeath unto my Daughter Mary Guy the Wife of Edward Guy late of Saltby in the said County of Leicester Farmer the Sum of one Guinea to be paid her immediately after my Decease by my said Executor

Also I Give and bequeath unto my Son in Law Thomas Keal the Sum of Twenty Pounds to be Paid him within twelve Months next after my Decease by my said Executor

Also I Give and bequeath unto my Daughter Rebecca Keal the Wife of William Keal of Melton Mowbray in the said County of Leicester Baker the Sum of Sixty Pounds to be Paid her within twelve Months next after my Decease by my said Executor

Also I Give Devise and bequeath unto my said Eldest Son William Pick his Heirs and Assigns All that my Wind=Mill with the Gears and implements thereunto belonging situate standing and being in the Lordship of Abb Kettleby aforesaid and now in my own Possession To have and to hold the said Will=Mill Gears implements and Appurtenances thereunto belonging unto my said Eldest Son William Pick his Heirs and Assigns for ever

And Lastly all and Singular my Household Goods other Goods Stock Cattle Chattels Implements of Husbandry Rights Credits and Personal Estate of what kind or Nature or quality soever (My Debts Legacies and Funeral Expences being first Paid and discharged) I give and bequeath the same unto my said Eldest Son William Pick for his own use benefit and Disposal whom I do hereby appoint full and Sole Executor of his my last Will and Testament Revoking all former and other Wills by me at any time heretofore made

In Witness whereof I the said William Pick the father and Testator have hereunto set my Hand and seal the Third day of September and in the year of our Lord One Thousand Seven Hundred and Seventy Eight

Signed Sealed Published and Declared by the said William Pick the Father and Testator as and for his last Will and Testament written on two Sheets of Paper to the first of the said Sheets hath set his Hand and to the last hath fixed his seal in the presence of us the Witnesses who have at his request and in his presence and in the presence of each other set our Hands as Witnesses to the Execution of this his said Will

Let a Probat be made to William Pick the sole Executor within named

He being duly sworn as well to the faithful execution of the will as that the Testator’s Goods Chattels and Credits do not amount in value to the sum of Three Hundred Pounds
