This is the last Will and Testament of me Catherine Pettifor of Scalford in the County of Leicester Widow (that is to say)

I give and devise unto my daughter Ann Musson All those my four several Messuages or Tenements with the Gardens hereditaments rights members and appurtenances to the same respectively belonging situate and being in the Parish of Scalford aforesaid in the several tenures of my said daughter Henry Attewell John Brown and Mrs Waite To hold the same unto my said daughter and her assigns for and during the term of her natural life without impeachment of waste And from and after her decease I give and devise the same unto and amongst all and every the child or children of my said daughter now born or hereafter to be born equally to be divided between and amongst them share and share alike to take the same as tenants in common and not as joint tenants and to their several and respective heirs and assigns for ever

And as to all the rest residue and remainder of my real and personal estate subject nevertheless to the payment of all mortgage and other debts and legacies owing or chargeable upon my said real estate or any part thereof and all my other debts whatsoever and funeral and testamentary expences I give and bequeath the same and every part thereof unto my son Francis Pettifor his heirs executors administrators and assigns for ever

I appoint my said son sole Executor of this my Will and revoke all other Wills by me at any time heretofore made and I declare this to be my last Will and Testament

In witness whereof I the said Catherine Pettifor have hereunto set my hand and seal the Twelfth day of May in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty five

Signed sealed published and declared by the said Catherine Pettifor the Testatrix as and for her last Will and Testament in the presence of us who at her request in her presence and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names as Witnesses

Francis Pettifor of Scalford in the County of Leicester Innkeeper the sole executor in the will named was duly sworn to the truth and faithful performance thereof as usual and that the Goods chattels and Credits of the deceased do not amount in value to the sum of three Hundred Pounds And that the deceased died on the twenty fifth day of May last
