Richard Pell of Plungar 1836 Will

This is the last Will and Testament of me Richard Pell of Plungar in the County of Leicester Farmer and Grazier

I give and devise All my messuages or Tenements Closes or Grounds enclosed Lands Hereditaments and real Estate situate at Plungar aforesaid or elsewhere with their appurtenances unto and to the use of my Nephew William Pell (Son of my late Brother William Pell) his Heirs and assigns for ever

I also give and bequeath all my Household goods plate Linen China Glass and effects in my Dwellinghouse at the time of my Decease and also all my monies securities for money live Stock Implements of Husbandry Hay Corn and other Dead Farming Stock and all other my personal Estate and effects whatsoever and wheresoever unto my said Nephew William Pell his executors and administrators (Subject Nevertheless to the payment of all my just Debts funeral and Testamentary expenses and the several legacies hereinafter by me given) that is to say

I give and bequeath unto my five Neices Mary Pell, Mary Bugg the Widow of William Bugg deceased, Alice Marshall the Wife of Thomas Marshall, Ann Bradford the Wife of Michael Bradford, and Elizabeth Musson the Wife of John Musson the legacy of sum of Fifty pounds a piece

I also give and bequeath unto my Nephews George Stokes and William Stokes (sons of my late neice Elizabeth Stokes) the legacy or sum of Twenty five pounds apiece all which said several and respective legacies or sums I will and Direct shall be paid to them and each of them my said Nephews and Neices twelve Calendar months next after my Decease

And lastly I do hereby appoint my said Nephew William Pell sole executor of this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking all former Wills by me made

In Witness whereof I the said Richard Pell the Testator have to this my last Will and Testament set my Hand and Seal this Twenty second day of October in the year of our Lord on thousand eight hundred and thirty Three

Signed Sealed Published and Declared by the said Testator Richard Pell as and for his last Will and Testament in the presence of us who in his presence at his request and in the presence of each other have hereunto set our Hands as Witnesses to the due execution thereof

William Pell of Whatton in the County of Nottingham the Executor in this Will named was duly sworn to the truth & faithful performance thereof as usual, and that the goods, chattles and credits of the deceased do not amount in value to the sum of one thousand five hundred pounds and that the deceased died on the eleventh day of December last
