Richard Parnham of Harby 1670 Will and Inventory

March the 15th 1670

In the name of God Amen

I Richard Parnham of Harby in the Countie of Leicester yeoman being sick and weak in body but of perfect memory & understanding (blessed be God) doe make my Last will & Testament in manner and forme as followeth

Imprimis I bequeath my soul into the hands of Almighty God my maker in & through the merits of Jesus Christ my all sufficient Saviour & Redeemer

My body I bequeath to be buried decently in the Church yard of Harby aforesaid

It I give to the two daughters of my daughter Katharine the wife of Willm Chester of Harby foresaid that is to say to Hester Chester the eldest & Elizabeth Chester the youngest of the said daughters twenty pounds a piece to be paid to each of them by my Executor when they shall come to the age of eighteen years

It I give to the two daughters of my Daughter Mary the wife of John Bennet of Bottesforth that is to say to Susan the eldest & Hester the youngest of the said daughters the summe tenn shillings a piece to be paid to them by my Executor when they shall of them come to the age of sixteen years

It I give to the three children of my son in Law Robert Hanly of Cawdwell in the Countie of Leicester that is to say to John Mary & Hester Hanly to each of them tenne shillings apiece to be paid to them by my Executor when they shall each of them come to the age of sixteen years

It I give to my Grandchild Thomas Spyby the son Willm Spyby of Bingham in the Countie of Nottingham the summe of ten shillings to be paid to him by my Executor when he shall come to the age of eighteen years

It I give to Dorothy Waile widow Elizabeth Cham widdow Mary Atton widow Anne Newton widdow to each of them four pence a piece to be paid to them by my Executor

It all the rest of my money goods cattle & Chattells unbequeathed whatsoever I give to my son & Heir Richard Parnham whom I doe make constitute & appoint full and sole Executor of this my last will and Testament, revoking all other wills by me heretofore made
