Frances Palmer of Plungar 1746 Will

In the name of god Amen I Frances Palmer of Plungar in the County of Leicester, being weak of Body but of perfect Mind & Memory blessed be God for the same, do hereby make my last Will & Testament in Manner & Form following

First I recommend my Soul into the Hands of Almighty God, hoping thro’ the Merits of my dear Saviour Jesus Christ to receive Remission of all my Sines; & as for those Temporal Goods which the Lord in his Mercy hath lent Me, I dispose of in Manner & Form following

First I give & bequeath to my Son John Hetherington one Shilling

Also I give & bequeath to my Daughter Elisabeth Gerard one Shilling

Also I give & bequeath to my Grand Daughter Elisabeth Gerard one Pound

Also I give & bequeath to my Son Thomas Wachorn one Shilling

Also I Give & bequeath to my Grand Daughter Catharine Wachorn one Pound

Also I give & bequeath the Bed Stead Bed & all the Bedding thereto belonging to my loving Daughter Mary Wachorn in which I used to lay & do farther order that She shall have a Being with my Executor as long as She continues single

Also I give & bequeath to my Daughter Anne Palmer the Sum of Three Pounds, together with all the Pewter marked with her Name

Lastly I ordain, constitute & appoint my dear Son Richard Wachorn my full whole & sole Executor of all my other Goods & Chattles together with the Freehold whatsoever & wheresoever the same may be found, paying the Legacies above within one year after my Decease; hereby revoking annulling & making void all other former Wills by me made

The 11th day of April 1746 Richard Wachhorne the Sole Executor within named was Sworn, and at the same time made oath that all the Deceased’s personal Estate at the time of her death was not worth Twenty pounds
