In the Name of God Amen The Sixteenth Day of July 1751 I John Normanton of Grimston in the County of Leicester Victualler being Weak in Body but of perfect mind and memory thanks be given to God do make and ordain this my Last Will and Testament in manner and form following

First I Bequeath my Soul into the Hands of Almighty God my Maker hoping through the Meritorious Death and passion of Jesus Christ my only Saviour and Redeemer to Receive free pardon and forgiveness of all my Sins and as for [“my” missing] Body to be Buried in a Christian Burial at the Descretion of my Executors hereafter nominated

First of all I give to my Brother Thos Normanton the Sum of one Shilling

Item I give to my Brother William Normanton one Shilling

Item I give to my Brother Richard Normanton one Shilling

Item I give to my Brother Robert Normanton one Shilling

Item I give to my Sister Elizabeth Bishop the Sum of one Shilling

Item I give to my Sister Anne Copeland one Shilling

Item I give to my Sister Alice Smart one Shilling

Item I give to my Sister Sarah Hall one Shilling

Item all the Rest of my Goods and Chattles Implements of Husbandry whatsoever I give to my beloved Wife Millecent and my Son and Daughter in law William Gee and Mary his Wife and do joyn them as my Sole Executors of this my last Will and Testament upon Condition that they shall pay all my Debts and Legacies and Burial Charges and I do utterly Revoke and Disannul all other former Wills and Testaments
