In the name of God Amen The xxiiiith day of July 1614 And in the twelfth yeare of the Raigne of our Soveraigne Lord James by the grace of god kinge of England Fraunce and Ireland Defendour of the faith & of Scotland the 47th I Thomas Neale Vicar of Abkettlbie in the Countie of Leicester beinge of good & perfect remembrance praysed be god therefore doe make & ordaine this my last will and testament in manner & fourme following

First I commend my soule to Almightie God, etc And my body to be buried in the parishe Church or Chauncell of Abkettlebie aforesaid &c

Item I give to the poore of Abkettlebie vs

And to the poore of Holwell vs

Item I geve to Alice my daughter the wife of John More vs

Item I give to John Neale my sonne vs

Ite I give to Nathaniel Neale my Sonne vx

Item I give to Samuel Neale my Sonne xiid

Item I give to William Neale my sonne the free guift and disposition of the vicaridge of Abkettlebie to him & to his heires lawfullie begotten for ever

Item I give & bequeath to Marie Neale my wife that messuage & Cottage house wherein Nathaniel Neale & Robert More nowe dwelleth with all the appurtenances thereunto belonging or apperteininge during her naturall life, and after her decease shall come to my foure Daughters unmarried & to their heires lawfullie begotten for ever

Item all the rest of my goods, my Corne of the gleebe land Cattaile & haye unbequeathed (these legacies beinge payde) I give & bequeath them unto Mary Neale my wife & to my foure Daughters unmaried equallie to be devided amongst them

Item I will that my sonne John Neale shall be the Overseer that this my last will & testament be dulie performed

Item I ordaine & make Marie Neale my wife the whole & sole Executrix of this my last will & testament
