This is the Last Will and Testament of me William Musson of the Parish of Harby in the County of Leicester Carpenter In form and manner following

I give and bequeath unto my Nephew William Musson Son of my Brother Thomas Musson all my Working Tools belonging to my Trade

I Give and bequeath unto my Executors hereinafter named The Sum of Fifty Pounds Upon Trust for Henry Key the Nephew of my Wife to be paid him within six months after the Decease of my Wife if at that period he shall have attained the age of twenty one years, if he shall not have attained the said age at the time of her Decease then I direct that the said Sum of Fifty Pounds be invested in the Melton Mowbray Savings Bank for him until he attaining the said age of twenty one years

I Give and bequeath unto my Executors all my Freehold House and Land with Appurtenances thereunto belonging situate in the said Parish of Harby Upon Trust for my affectionate Wife to have and to hold the same during the term of her natural life subject nevertheless to permit my Brother Samuel Musson to have the occupation of the Carpenters Shop and Land for the conveniency of this Wood and the said Samuel Musson to pay a Rent of Two Pounds ten shillings per Annum for the same so long as he occupies it during the life of my Wife and I direct that the said Rent arising from the same be paid quarterly towards the support of my affectionate Parents

And from and after the Decease of my Wife I Give and bequeath The Freehold House Land Premises and Hereditaments that I have in the said Parish of Harby unto my said Brother Samuel Musson to have and to hold the same during the term of his natural life and from and after his Decease I then Give and bequeath the  last mentioned Freehold Estate unto my said Nephew William Musson Son of my Brother Thomas Musson aforesaid to have and to hold the same his heirs and assigns for ever subject nevertheless charged and chargeable with the payment of the Sum of one hundred Pounds that I borrowed of William Kirk of the Parish of Scalford in the said County with Interest of the same as shall from time to time respectively become due

And from and after the Decease of my Wife I Give and bequeath The two Tenements or Cottages with the Land and Premises thereunto belonging now in the occupation of Joseph Goodson and William Munks situate in the Parish of Harby aforesaid unto my dear Sister Frances Musson to have and to hold the same during the term of her natural life and from and after her Decease I then Give and bequeath the last mentioned bequest unto my Nephew John Musson Son of my Brother Thomas Musson aforesaid to have and to hold the same his heirs and assigns for ever

And the remainder of my personal estate and effects whatsoever and wheresoever and of what nature or kind soever not hereinbefore disposed of after payment of all my just debts Funeral and Testamentary expenses and the aforesaid Legacy bequeath to Henry Key I Give and bequeath the same unto my affectionate Wife for her own absolute use benefit and disposal

And I do hereby nominate constitute and appoint my kind friends Edward Wright the younger Surveyor and Thomas Lamin Miller both of Harby aforesaid to be Executors for carrying this my last Will and Testament into effect And I do hereby declare that my said Executors and the survivor of them and the Executors and Administrators of such Survivor shall and may at all times out of the first monies that may come to their or either of their hands reimburse and indemnify themselves and himself respectively all such costs damages charges and expenses as they or either of them may be put unto or sustain in and about the execution of the trusts of this my Will and that neither of them shall be answerable for more monies than shall actually come into his or their hands respectively

And I do hereby revoke and make void all other Wills and Testaments by me at any time heretofore made

I do declare this to be my last Will and Testament

In Witness whereof I the said William Musson the Testator have to this my last Will and Testament set my hand the fifteenth Day of December In the Year of Our Lord One thousand eight hundred and thirty eight

Edward Wright the younger Surveyor and Thomas Lamin Miller both of Harby in the County of Leicester the Executors in the will named were duly sworn to the truth and faithful performance thereof as usual and that the goods chattels and credits of the deceased do not amount in value to the sum of Three Hundred Pounds and that the deceased died on the Twenty second day of December last past
