In Dei nome Amen I John Musson the elder of Hickling in the County of Nottingham yeoman beinge sicke in body but whole in minde and of sound and perfect memory praised be God therefore doe ordaine constitute and make this my last will and testament in manner and forme following vids

First I give and bequeath my soule to Almighty God my maker Saviour and redeemer and my body to be buried in the churchyard of Hickling aforesaid and for that porcon of worldly goods which God hath blessed me withall my will is that it be distributed in manner and forme following vids

Imprimis I give to the parrish Church of Hicklinge three shillings four pence

Item my will is that Ann my lovinge wife shall have … occupie and injoy to her benefitt and behoofe the lease on my farme which I have newly taken for all the yeares yet to come and unexspired & provided alwaies that the said Ann my wife doe not change her name neither be married to any man (nota if it so happen and fall out that Ann my wife shall be married to another man then my will is that Thomas my sonne shall injoy and possess the tenancie of the yeares unexpired in the lease either after my wife marriage or decease which comes first)

Item I give and bequeath to Thomas John Elizabeth and Ann my children all my goods chattels and cattells moveable and unmoveable that I have and injoy at this present to be equallie divided amongst them by even and equall proporcons my debts and funeral expenses first discharged

Item my will is that my Executors shall pay unto John & Elizabeth and Ann their porcons when they shall accomplish the age of one and twenty years

Item will saith it that my executors shall pay ten poundes to my brother William Musson which I owe to hime

Item I give and bequeath to Dorothy my daughter one shillinge

Item my will is that Thomas my sonne shall pay to John Elizabeth and Ann forty shillinges a piece of good and lawfull money of England in consideration of the lease within twelve months after he the said Thomas shall possess and injoy the same

Item I make John Musson my and Thomas Musson supervisors of this my last will and testament

Lastly I constitute appoint and make Thomas Musson my sonne and Ann my wife executors of this my last will and testament

In witness whereof I have put to my hand and seale the thirtieth day of December in the yeare of the Raigne of our Soveraigne Lord Charles by the grace of God of England Scotland France and Ireland Kinge Defender of the faith the thirteenth Anno Domi 1637.
